The trick is to turn the bottle upside down and swish it in circles. That way you get all the goodies mixed into the rest of the drink without aggravating the fizzzzzzz

I am about to go back to work after my weekend (which always go by soooooo fast) and trying to keep the depression about my work life from overtaking me again.... There's simply not enough time to get anywhere with the things I WANT to do something with. I NEED a different way to sustain myself ASAP, and definitely by the end of the year (my boss is quitting then and she's the coolest boss I've ever had, so no reason to stick around....) but I have no college degree, no formal training, and I basically need the equivalent of a full time job that pays $15/hour if I'm going to continue to live in this city. I don't have the time, or the energy to get trained or schooled while working full time UNLESS I want to go into massive debt, and that's a whole other can of worms.... This culture sucks. We shouldn't need to work 40hours a week with the technology we have at our disposal in this day and age.

This has been at the crux of me quitting every grown up job I have ever had, except the one I dictate the hours. I have quite a really good tech support job, a law firm job, and a shitty call center. All of them had the same expectation of devotion and extra work.

It isn't fair and it isn't right. I am sorry you are struggling with it, though. I hope you can find something soon.

Fu Manchu UK/EU tour's been canceled/postponed to 2016, meaning I've missed 2 Fu shows in the last 2 years

Had to renew my vehicle registration and get new plates, so I put off renewing my night parking permit since the beginning of the month and got away with not getting a ticket until yesterday because I was waiting to get my new plates to put the night permit in the new plates but I can't change my plates because the screws on the back plates are so rusted and stripped that I can't get them off.

Tl;dr Kafkaesque urban living bullshit.

Also first mix of one of our songs is terrible because of the drum parts we changed in the studio (and I opposed) but guitarist is likely going to be stupid and try to blame me in an immature way.

At least I got home before storms hit.

Isn't this your two piece? So you folded like a bitch (but not in a sexist way, cool your jets Louise) and now there's excess salt about it?

Ehhh, obvs its not that simple. When it's only you, other bandmember and producer, you end up two out of three-ing it a lot (and usually it works). I'm going to stand up for the fact that parts of it I said were "shit" and guitarist at least was positive towards. One part I'll say could be somewhat better on my end, but the only parts that work were all me (but I'm not petty like that).

Yeah, band relationship has been butting heads lately, but I'm too much of an adult to fucking do that for long. Ima have us sit down and talk about working relationship and positive attitudes and junk (I'm a mature adult :D ).

Also, we're going back into the studio so there's room to fix these things from a practical standpoint.

Honestly, the whole license plate thing was what I was more worried about in my post.

If you don't come into these things with a positive attitude, what's the fucking point?

2 packages supposedly arrived today with the last immediately necessary pieces for my 12-string conversion. But neither the fedex or usps packages were there when I got home. My roommate has a bad habit of picking up my packages without reading the label and keeping them unopened in her room for a bit, but she claims to not have these. I already rented out time in a workshop to do my work, but I can't really drill holes without the pieces to do measurements.

So either someone stole my tuners and nut, or my roommate is going to cost me time and workshop rental money.

No need to comment for my benefit here. Some people are whiny bitches. That may or may not be applicable here, though.

Iss all good.

More important bitching: getting drunk and sobering up twice in 24 hours equals double hangover. Now I'm working an overnight shift. Kill me, please.

I seem to be killing it with the day job right now, impressing my bosses and the stars of the field.

And the realization is more than a bit sad to me that I'll probably never be and never have been as good at music as at my day job.

That's probably because you haven't worked 40-50 hours a week for the last how ever many years
on your music like you have on your day job. :idk:

Yes, and it's not like it's an unprecedented realization: http://www.theonion.com/blogpost/find-t ... n-do-31742
Still, it's a weird bummer.
