New Mastodon isn't terrible. Except for the chorus. What the fuck is that. And who is singing there? But I love Crack the Skye and even liked a handful of songs on The Hunter as well.

Skip and Assface have given me a terrible case of the Tele and SG boners.

But bros. Guess what? I finished my book which makes me a fucking author. Which means that I'm going to have to start wearing a monocle and a top hat and other fancy things. :doom:
Don't know what I'm going to do with it, but it's done. So I am hella excite. I will drop some more substantial details about it once I know when/how/if it will be published. Protip: It's probably not teen romance about vampires. But it could be.

Fuck yeah!

Have you got an agent? Getting a good one is the hardest thing of all...but stick with it. Would love to know more about this. Good luck bro

Thanks guys! :!!!:

I don't have an agent yet. There are a few I may send proposals to just to see if there is any real interest in it. I kinda just started writing last summer and it kept growing and growing to the point that it was an actual book. I've been messing around with Amazon's self-publishing software a bit to see if I want to go that route. But that leaves marketing and shit all up to me, which isn't exactly one of my strong suits.

The book itself is actually a cultural analysis done though a series of essays ranging from factual but sarcastic, to soapbox, to full on absurd. I also use a lot of pop culture stuff like South Park, Game of Thrones, etc to discuss the topic of the book. It feels like Chuck Klosterman phoning in one of his books, which is good and bad I suppose.

So no weed or dragons or romance unfortunately - I have a lot of ideas for fictional stories, but can't write passable fiction to save my life.

And Skip, that SG is all kinds of amazing. FULL GUARD MOTHERFUCKERS.

Thanks guys!!! There is of course, as with any good deal, one small caveat....

But I wanted a thrasher guitar that I wouldn't feel bad taking on tour and beating the shit out if the need arose, plus I love me some relic'd up gits.... the repair is supposedly flush and smooth to the touch, with a refund available if I'm not happy so I decided to give it a chance as it was exactly what i wanted at exactly my budget. :yay:

Now to decide on trying to sell a lil more stuff to get a set of black winters for it like my monson, or using available funds to get a chrome covered Duncan Distortion which is the same output but a different EQ.... :idk:

and Trey!!! I would totally read that!!! Def keep us posted!!!!

That's on the agenda mos def. Was actually considering getting all black hardware if I go the Black Winter pickup route. Then it would pretty much dead on match my monson in aesthetics, except a lil more glossy.

Welcome to the club, brah. We have your cured cavendish waiting in the cigar parlour.

Also, feel free to PM about publishing, etc.

Congrats on the book t-rey. Hope it gets published and I get a chance to read it, but the feeling of finishing a project itself is really rewarding.

Skip, that esquire is giving me special feelings.

I was gonna do this with mine but they stay in tune better than I imagined they would. Plus, there is a tiny bit of neck dive when I play the rack toms that I think might be made worse by the extra weight of a set of Grovers. Nothing a nice leather strap won't fix though.
