New Mastodon isn't terrible. Except for the chorus. What the fuck is that. And who is singing there? But I love Crack the Skye and even liked a handful of songs on The Hunter as well.
Skip and Assface have given me a terrible case of the Tele and SG boners.
But bros. Guess what? I finished my book which makes me a fucking author. Which means that I'm going to have to start wearing a monocle and a top hat and other fancy things.
Don't know what I'm going to do with it, but it's done. So I am hella excite. I will drop some more substantial details about it once I know when/how/if it will be published. Protip: It's probably not teen romance about vampires. But it could be.
Congratulations on finishing your book, Trey! That's is an amazing achievement.

Five Hundo shipped in case...... I couldn't say no!
But now I gotta sell the Tele if I wanna get a new seven string....

If you're gonna be bad, at least be bad in style. Nice!!

I'll keep that in mind.

I don't have an agent yet. There are a few I may send proposals to just to see if there is any real interest in it. I kinda just started writing last summer and it kept growing and growing to the point that it was an actual book. I've been messing around with Amazon's self-publishing software a bit to see if I want to go that route. But that leaves marketing and shit all up to me, which isn't exactly one of my strong suits.
The book itself is actually a cultural analysis done though a series of essays ranging from factual but sarcastic, to soapbox, to full on absurd. I also use a lot of pop culture stuff like South Park, Game of Thrones, etc to discuss the topic of the book. It feels like Chuck Klosterman phoning in one of his books, which is good and bad I suppose.
So no weed or dragons or romance unfortunately - I have a lot of ideas for fictional stories, but can't write passable fiction to save my life.
Dude stoked for you and I'd genuinely love to read your stuff. Also, don't self publish unless you know you've got the ability to promote and market the thing, which you've admitted you don't. I'd try to find an agent as a few others have said to try and get it published. Proud of you, dawg.

T-rey, way to go man. D.O.S., You have published? care to share? I have a feeling your cynical take on things would be something I would enjoy. I try (and sometimes fail) to be mostly positive on here, but my soc prof has already learned to call on me when he wants a cynical dark take on things.

Nice!!! I'm gonna start looking into things like those as I'm setting up my home stereo on the living room TV for the first time since we moved in. But everything we have in the house is apple, so I gotta figure out whats gonna work best.

I was at that Scionfest. Unbelievable evening of great bands.
AA since everything is Apple, I suggest the AppleTV. I tried the Chromecast and it was too cumbersome, took it back and got the appletv and it's so smooth and easy to use with all the other apple products in the house. Costs a bit more though unfortunately.

I don't mind paying a lil extra for ease of use and better compatability. I gotta get an xBox for the little guy first as that's his kindergarten graduation present.
