backwardsvoyager wrote:^ that wasn't too bad. I was interested in this as a MicroSynth-alike for the Helios Creed sound, but since I foolishly watched the JHS demo I can't look at the damn thing anymore without that creepy dude's face popping into my head

You mean the cream cheese sculpture with the wig?

idk if it has been mentioned in this thread before, but it seems like there is yet another cheap, boring, generic line of pedals coming, this time from Ashdown:

If the Alexander Sugarcube isn't named after the Yo La Tengo song, please don't tell me and spoil and pleasant feelings!

re: the new Ashdown cheapie collection, fair enough, agreed they seem generic, but their bass-centrism may make them slightly more valuable for that sector. Right off the bat, the subharmonic generator could be interesting @ that price. The Double Shot might be pretty nice if it's really a streamlined Triple Shot. I used to run an older Hyper Drive and looks, naming convention and endorsements aside, it was a pretty unique and useful bass drive ymmv
Admittedly, Ashdown doesn't scream cool....

This explains so much of my existential crisis.

But Ashdown is always solid in my experience. So yeah they might be... ok?

I am glad others have started demoing the Atreides, I grudgingly watched the JHS vid and that thing has a lot of potential.
Will have to follow up on some other vids and see if my interest remains piqued.

If the filters can go hard enough it could be cool.

But on the other hand, if the filters are really fat it doesn't matter how hard they go, according to the latest research from the SPACERITUAL institute.
