why the fuck do we have to have a kitchen roster on an office floor of like 30 people max. HOW HARD IS IT FOR YOU TO CLEAN YOUR COFFEE MUG PROPERLY YOURSELF AND PUT IT AWAY WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT LIKE A FUCKING ADULT.

I have to bring my car into the shop tomorrow before 10am which means I need to get up early, then I need to spend 3 hours dicking around on the south side of town before work.

Dude, your first mistake was assuming adults are competent.
Your second mistake was assuming they are willing.
I'm pretty sure some people would go through their entire life happy to have someone else wipe their arse for them.

So word is Dave Mirra shot himself. This is affecting me a lot more than I thought it would.

Well, sadly, a lot of NFL guys wind up on a similar track because of their career. It's not pretty.
I don't think this is the case here -- I mean I have no idea -- but most immediately this sucks because one of my good friends from way back in the day used to ride a lot of BMX and also wound up killing himself, so there's a lot of stuff being dredged up on my end. Plus Twang, etc.
Super selfish on my end but: don't kill yourselves, please.

Wonder if it was CTE like has been coming out with the NFL (and I'm sure other pro sports athletes soon) lately. I'm sure a pro bmxer takes as many knocks as an nfl player.
Sad for his widow and child.

Yeah sadly I think that we'll see some more of the 'extreme athletes' (hate that phrase) suffering from this, esp. the ones that grew up in the 'helmets aren't cool, bro' era of coverage.

Mirra was a huge influence on me when I younger (even though I rollerbladed). Incredibly talented, yet not a complete douche. Not many of those around. One less now. RIP

by psychic vampire.
Both of my romantic partners had separate devastating news this week, and I have been asked to not mention it to friends, but it is making me confront a lot of feelings about impermanence and mortality and yadda yadda yadda. they are both being very stoic and I just want to break down.
