There's a 65% chance he's lying just to get a free pedal.

I mean on the other hand this should be an indication to always get tracking. Don't give the bastards the option to avoid it, just put it in the shipping costs.

Well I told the guy it would be $15 extra for Intl priority with shipping and instead he sent me a lowball offer. Since I was broke as fuck and nobody else was interested, I had to take it.

Fuck that guy.

I just found out, after paying a $700 tax bill that NATURALLY came the day i ordered the Rickenbacker, that IRS claims not to have received returns from 2011, 12, and 13. i know that the 11 and 12 taxes were filed, but i also know that there's at least another thousand dollars in back taxes that i owe from those years, maybe two thousand. i'm going to have to get a payment plan.

Living in a bike rally town.
The next two weeks will be trying not to hit people who seem to have no regard for their own safety.

Early morning emergency vet visit. We woke up to our teen-aged hound girl thrashing pretty dramatically with a seizure. Emergency vet was saying that bringing her in might not be warranted when we called ahead. Our boy who passed this winter had seizures on the leading edge of everything going south, so nope, we were bringing her in anyway, thanks.

Blood work's okay, and she's on anti-convulsants now. Probability is that it was either a little stroke or it's a brain tumor. We can do an MRI and find out if it's the later and if it's operable. But an MRI itself requires anesthesia, and she had a very rough time out of anesthesia just for a dental cleaning not too many months ago. So we could put her through a mini ordeal to see if we can put her through a greater ordeal, and if she comes out of that greater ordeal without major complications, her recovery could still really suck. There's a twinge of feeling of "are we writing her off?" but we really don't want anything but to maximize her comfort for however much time she has. She would be something like in her 90s in human years, so although she's been mostly healthy for her age, she hasn't been in prime health for a while. I just hope this is a one-off and/or the anti-convulsants manage it so she can just pass sleeping peacefully in a sunny spot in the yard before anything can creep up and make her suffer.

Oh, bonus. After the emergency, I dropped off the mrs. for an overnight trip, so I'm on solo duty to watch that we don't have another seizure. Like happened to the boy when the spiral set in. She seems much better after it than he did, but there's an element of this that is really unnerving.

Still doing this. I want to kill myself. I love literature and writing, but I grammar rules can fuck off. I long for Monday when I don't have to deal with this stuff anymore.

the guitar has now arrived in Fishersville, VA, a spot on the map twenty-seven miles from here, where it will sit until going out for delivery on Monday :grumpy:
