I mentioned a long while ago when you were still on rev. i that it would be cool to, in mode 2, to be able to adjust the start point of the playback instead of having to start at the beginning each time depending on the random setting. There wasn't a real good way to implement it though with the 2 switch version at the time.

Not too long ago I brought it up again as now with the q switch it would easier to assign the function to a combination of the q switch and a knob turn. I think it would be a great addition because it would enable you to scrub through the buffer.

I did not get a response. I don't know if it was because it would be too much trouble or something of that nature or if it was just overlooked.

Would this now be something that could happen. I have no idea if it would be something easily implemented or require a overhaul of how the whole mode works.

I think it would open up the possibilities greatly for what you could do with the mode 2. So much so that I would be happy to pay for a custom firmware depending on how much work it would be, or how much it would cost.
Hi,

Sorry if we missed your email, usually if you do not get a response in 2-3 (business) days just email again.

Right now I am too busy to offer customization of the firmware for ct5. We are working on a sizable update that does add some things people have suggested in the past, but admittedly it does not have the feature you request at this point. It would not be that hard to add something like this.

After all my pedal purchases that's kind of the switch it's ended up becoming.

smmh turned into 1 analog delay and the ct5 in the end.
Precisely this. No on-board reverb, tap tempo, or multi-tap delays. Otherwise Ct5 is a great substitute or upgrade.
well this is good to hear.
after watching all the demos seems fun but maybe too weird.
money again is a dumb thing.

i just picked up the most recent edition and noticed when looping, that the loop doesn't start as soon as you release the footswitch. has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, there is some kind of lag... I haven't quite figured it out yet, to see if I can compensate for it and get a perfect loop. One school of thought is to pine for a perfectly loop able pedal, but similarly I wish there was a tap tempo for the Len b.... Buuuuut then I get to thinking that it has been designed the way it has been, and it's kind of a wild beast that I don't need to tame. I get to interact with it and it surprises me. If I want a perfect loop, I use my boomerang. That's a pricey pedal, but you can get a ditto for way less...

Anyways, not trying to put you down. I would love the ct5 to loop easier... Who knows what future updates may hold.

PS. Have you tried flipping from mode 1 to mode 2 w transcendence mode active? Sometimes that can be a sort of metronome for you based on the Len b setting becoming max Len s

That is very exciting. What are the chances of letting some details about the upcoming firmware go? I don't mind waiting tho if that's the deal

Haha, no worries! Thanks for letting me know. I think the pedal is superb already, so any updates are just a bonus.

Ooh yeah!

I wonder if firmware update notifications will be sent to the mailing lists.

I guess I just asked a question without using a question mark?

the next update may be because it is probably substantial compared so some past updates, but for small updates i usually do not spam the whole mailing list, we just make a blog entry and add it to the list/mention it here

Thanks for letting me know. That makes sense. Some people are very touchy about emails. I'm subbed to this thread now, so I will miss nothing. I guess I'll ask the obvious question because someone else probable will (apologies if they already have). I'm not being nice, I just don't want to influence you to spend more time on this forum and less time developing a "substantial" new update for the ct5. ;)

Here's the final question - is there any approx timeline for the new firmware? If no, then I'll put it down to you not wanting to put dates on things which can be outside your control, as you've mentioned before. Which I respect.

Here come the email notifications about peeps being stoked on the imminent update. I don't mind. My wife says that I talk about the ct5 too much. I guess this suggests how gr9 the pedal is.
