Fucking hell.
I wonder if the NRA will ever come out denouncing the cop for killing a CCL holder due to usual police bullshit involving untrained cops that are allowed to carry firearms for no reason other than the fucking badge on their chest.

Everything feels too much. I'm way too nostalgic and sentimental for my own good, someone please remind me to stop being an idiot.
Moving always makes me really sad, but staying feels sadder? Like being locked in a place where all i have is memories?
My only advice is just to cut everything off m. Like don't talk, don't follow on any social media, don't talk about. Soon enough you won't be thinking about him and you're gonna feel better. I'm sorry, hope it gets better
Well, my only internet presence is this and another message board.
I feel you, but i actually think the ghosting thing would hurt more. Like, this hurts, but i know that i can build back up to a nurturing and supportive friendship with him, i also know that things can change, and that this is not permanent. It's just what it is for now. For what it's worth, it hurts, but i'm a growing, learning creature, and this hurt will pass, new joys and hurts and whatever will takes its place, and i am trying to just have a healthy relationship with the feelings that i'm currently having. DBT, or something.
Minnesota on the other hand. Outrage. Fury. Hate. Is any of this surprising anymore? Of course the cops are fucking racists, and of course they will continue killing black men and getting away with it. Every statistic has been pointing at the inherent white supremacy of law enforcement and criminalization in the USA for... ever? And nothing has changed. Fuck this world.

This whole event is an atrocity and is very sad.
That being said, I don't understand why the NRA comes into question when it was a police shooting? I'm not pro NRA but I'm not pro radical thinking either. Obama has said it himself. He has no interest or intentions on taking anyone's firearms.
Plus police are issued weapons. The NRA has no say in that.
Guns are not the problem. Poor training and bad people are the problem. Those fucking cops need to be punished harshly.

Then you may be surprised to learn that the NRA offers law enforcement training and competitions:
http://le.nra.org/Also, they actively lobby to protect conceal carry rights, unless the civilians who have those licenses are black, in which case they are silent. That speaks volumes.
edit: also the Obama part of my post was a joke.

Yea I had no idea. Can't say I'm surprised. The NRA is a bunch of dumb rednecks anyway. Sad shit right there.

Can you provide examples? Are you insinuating that the NRA doesn't want black people to have CCL because they have not made a comment on this less than a day after it happened? Are you aware that the NRA has an affiliated radio show and the host said this incident 'did not look good' and specifically that CCL has nothing to do with the color of ones skin ...and what say does the NRA have in this matter at all really, like its their responsibility to immediately comment on something that know one really knows anything about at this point? Did you know the guy that was shot in the arm and died today was a member of the NRA?

Yes.
Was insinuating NRA lobbies for rights of white Americans only.
No.
Context of when and how and what they choose to comment on is key here; considering how much money they spend guaranteeing the proliferation of firearms and police training I would say it is absolutely their responsibility to comment on how those firearms are deployed.
Yes.

I mean come on. Does this sound racist to you?
"After getting into an argument on his Facebook page with a commentator named Jorge Freixa over the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, Nugent referred to the man as a “beanochimp” and told him to die."
He's just a board member of the NRA. No biggie right.
Hardcore sarcasm if you can't tell.

In other news. I couldn't sleep all night! Yeah me!

Well I got like two hours, so I guess I can't really complain. I hate it when that shit happens. Maybe it's because I can't stop eating chocolate covered espresso beans. #fml lol

Dude no wonder those espresso beans are like sXe trucker speed! I've been up since 4:00am but I think it's because I drank some beer, that always wakes me up at weird hours. Luckily there isn't shit going on at work today.

So the NRA should have made a statement already on something where no one knows what happened?
Are there any examples where the NRA has come out and said stuff about CCL in shootings where the person shot by police was not black? Any instances where police shot a black person with a CCL unjustified?

FWIW, my statement was intended to be more of a "food for thought" thing related to the NRA's affiliations with conservative parties/people who, in general terms, tend to ignore police related shootings involving non-white individuals while also staunchly support second amendment rights and the rights of CCL holders/legal gun owners in cases involving those individuals.
Really, I was positing a question and curiosity as to how they'd land on the issue since the NRA has often stayed out of commenting on shootings in general.
(I'd also like to note that I'm a former NRA member if you're concerned about any biases I may have)
