I fucked up nachos so bad last week. I feel like I have disgraced the spirit of Ignacio Anaya. I bought tortilla chips and all the good toppings, but I was so drunk that I just stuck the tortillas on a plate in the microwave with some cheese sprinkled on. Now there's a can of olives and a jar of sliced jalapenos every time I open the cabinet, all staring at me like "when's gonna be our time"?

Sounds like you have to make nachos again. I don't think you'll be complaining. (Sounds like I need to make nachos because that sounds good)

One way I deal with sliced jalapeƱos and olives is by putting them on god damn everything. They are flavor nugs.

My office mate's chewing is louder than her typing. Blurgh.

Reverb buyers. Do i even bother countering when the person offered me less than 3/4 the asking price?

Yeah, it just feels insulting. Like, bitch you know that what i'm asking is a good price for this unit, get off my dick and offer a reasonable price or don't buy the damn thing, i'm broke as fuck and i don't owe anyone vintage gear on the cheap.

It's like cat calling, in that I am in disbelief that people who do it think it's going to to work.
One fun thing to do is to counter with a number higher than your asking price.

I normally reply with the lowest amount that I am willing to accept.
I also make it absolutely clear that it is the lowest amount I am willing to accept.

Someone just offered me $500 and no shipping on something i'm asking shy of 700 for. I literally wrote back "Are you fucking joking?" Did the idiot think i was going to jump at his great offer? I get nervous/cold feet offering 85% of the asking price. 71% is not going to cut it. If i wanted to sell it for 71% of what i was asking, i wouldn't have asked so much.

I've mentioned it before, but in those situations I always counter with at least 10% more than my asking price because fuck you.

HAHA same. I'm such an asshole on reverb. I make sure everything I list is already the lowest price listed so I get a little bitchy when people hit me with those saggy nut sacks

I was once in a gun shop with my dad that sells them straight up. No salesman making commission or any of that bullshit.
After the salesman explained this to my dad (as a reason why a rifle was the price it was) my dad quickly responded with, "yeah, but do ya dicker?"
I don't think I've laughed harder than I did the second we got out of the store.
