Can't deal with asshats at work anymore.
Almost walked into the bottle shop instead of picking up lunch.

I was once in a gun shop with my dad that sells them straight up. No salesman making commission or any of that bullshit.
After the salesman explained this to my dad (as a reason why a rifle was the price it was) my dad quickly responded with, "yeah, but do ya dicker?"
I don't think I've laughed harder than I did the second we got out of the store.
I gave what i felt to be a VERY fair amount of haggle room. Silly me, i thought 15ish% wiggle room was more than generous, but apparently 30% is the new "Could you do a little better?"

The worst part is the same guys will probably buy a Strymon for less than 10% off retail.

Almost certainly true. I'm sure Strymons are cool or whatever, but this sequencer is definitely more than twice as cool. Also just in general synths/sequencers/samplers/drum machines > pedals, yeah? Bitches need to quit low balling me, i don't even have balls.

Yeah. A big part of haggling is making an offer that doesn't totally insult the seller.

I usually respond and tell them I can't go that low because I wouldn't be selling unless I need the money. If it's a super insulting offer, which I get here and on Reverb...I'll just ignore it or deny it. I don't give them the dignity of the time it take to type out a response.
I had someone offer me like 200 bucks for a Strymon Mobius on one of my first attempts at selling on Reverb. I laughed really hard then told the guy, look this is basically new and I won't be selling it at that much of a loss. He asked me what the lowest I would take was and I sent him my listed price. That took care of that.

Now I don't even bother. If you're looking to be a shyster and "haggle" like a dick, then buy off of Craigslist where folks expect to get ass raped by douche bag buyers. Otherwise suck it.

Had to look up the price of a Mobius. I just always thought on higher priced items 15% was the maximum lowball while still being polite.

I sold the Mobius for 340 and had it listed for 350. It sold literally 5 minutes after I responded to that dumb ass. LOL!

Yeah. I feel like i list a lot of my stuff at very fair prices, the only time i ever really go higher than something is new is if it's something that is both international and requires a wait list, and i'm always willing to haggle. One of my things that i got a lowball offer to, i responded with a counter offer lower than my original price, and then someone bought it at full price. Oh well.

Our (upright) bass player quit the band today. I was not super shocked by his decision, but I was hoping to have him in the band a little longer.
But he will play with us until we have a replacement, but those are big shoes to fill.

In-town move, or somewhere new?

Cross-country? Uncertain. In town for my last month-ish living here, then going to visit people on the west coast and work a seasonal farm job and then figure it out!
