I love AmpegSS's they used to be so cheap which is how I ended up with 3 SS150's and 3 SS140c's and one each of the VH150 and VH140c. I think more so in the last couple of years people are researching and finding out what a ton of classic death and grind bands used to and currently use and that's usually what drives up the price. ebay is where I used to see em go for cheap which is were I got half of mine usually less than 200 each but now I'm seeing them asked for around 4-5 which I still think is high. I did see one for a 100 but it ended up going for 285 or something.
Question - Orange CR120 or Ampeg SS? Your fucking clips are going to make me buy one or the other at some point.
I'd still say Ampeg SS's over the Orange. I still find it just has that extra edge over the Orange CR120. The main thing the Orange has for it is it's brand new and you can find em very very easily. The SS's you'll be investing in both finding and then the money to secure.

Found an SS140C in Detroit for $150 but ad seems sketchy and I shouldn't spend any skrilla right now without shipping some other gear first.

You guys are letting me down. Go get that shit!
Looks like band number 2 is happening for me. NOT AN END TO FLUX REMOTELY! Just an extra thing to sate my urges.
We had a second rehearsal today and jammed for a solid 4 hours. got a song pretty near complete status. Listening to the playback now and I like where this is going. once we polish up the turd a bit I might share here, dude who plays bass and hosts the ritual has a fairly decent recording setup. better mics than I have, smaller board, similar interface so we can get decent recordings from it to keep shit fresh in between meeting up. Such a useful tool.

I'm thinking of getting a Crate Powerblock...what do you guys think of it.
all I'm using it for is silent practice with headphones and pedalboard as well as potentially taking it to mates place to plug into one of his cabinets for guitars only rehearsals and song writing.

My VH140C keeps blowing fuses and it makes me a sad panda. I love that thing, I think it just needs a new power socket. The stock one is flimsy as shit.
Got it for 200.

Yeah -- 'tis true. Alas, I'd need to have a little capital which would likely mean saying good-bye to a few pedals, which, in reality, probably wouldn't be terrible.
