My show tonight got rained out. Plus I've been feeling deeply shit all week. I was looking forward to being able to unwind a bit. Damn it.

Back from Japan. Accidentally dropped my duty free booze after a douchey Customs Officer was being a dick.

That's awful dude.
Australian customs jerks are assholes.

When you witness not so subtle acts of racism from the parents of children in your son's class at a birthday party...and have to stand by and watch it because you don't want to jeopardise your kids' social standing. Somewhat enraging, somewhat cause for disappointment in yourself.

^ yeah Its what happens, I don't have kids, but have heard people ( it's not worth getting into it with) say some insane stuff. Sad any idiot can make a kid :idk:

So frustrating.
My son will no doubt want to go to their place for play dates as they get older and get to know each other and it's not like I can flat out refuse. Parents at schools gossip and talk shit about each other all the time.
I don't want to damage his social prospects but at the same time I don't really care about my family's social standing among troglodytes.
But I don't want him to be bullied our pushed to the periphery because of shit I said/did.
He has to find his own way out here

He's a smart kid, he'll figure it out given time.

Just fairly disgusted people still carry on in the manner I witnessed yesterday.

It wasn't until I got older that I realized just how shitty parents can be, and that it's really easy to tell if the parents are shitty just by their kids.
When I was really young (like 5 or 6) there was a family with 3 kids that my parents would drag me to have "play dates" with.
One time they stole some legos (it's a little thing, but they stole my favorite ones and I didn't have a lot of friends at the time, either) and I was just absolutely perplexed by their behavior (stealing, lying about it, etc.) until I got older and realized their parents were scum.

Man, I'm still holding that grudge.
Since I always forget:

I don't think these kids are shitty but I do have a big problem with what their parents did.
One of the kids manipulated the situation which blew it up. But he turned 6 that day and was just doing what 6 year olds do and was trying to shift the blame for an incident. Problem was his parents jumped the gun just because the other kid involved was an islander.
The sad part is they'll grow up thinking that's how people are treated based on their ethnic background.
And the islander kids will grow thinking "white people still fucking suck".
Which is not untrue.

Dude I'd have gone apeshit if anyone touched my Lego.
Shit is sacred.

So I've been talking to people about playing bass for some project I'm really not that interested, but I just felt like going along with for the hell of it (i can get drunk and goof off). We're talking about practicing, and guy is like "oh yeah, come over to my place" and place is pretty much exactly where there was a race riot last night and maybe again tonight.

I'm like murrrrr...how do I get out of this politely?

I'd really prefer my car not be burned, k.

Man, I'm still holding that grudge.
Hold it tight. Legos are serious biz. Similar memories, but with Pogs (not the EHX pedals).
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
