Saw an ad on craigslist for a band with Sabbath, Kyuss and Clutch influences needing a guitar player. Sent an email yesterday but no response. Typical.

I put some stuff up for sale in the BST (including a BAT Ritual). If you see anything you like, hit me up.

Every time I see Pelican I like the opening band better. When they came here touring for Australasia I fell asleep because Daughters opened and wore me out. This time it's Tombs and I am infinitely more stoked for them. Hopefully Pelican has upped their stage game.

I saw Pelican and Tombs (and Isis, actually) together. New Tombs record is weird. Haven't really kept up with Pelican, but I'm glad they're active again.

I'm just going to leave this here…

Also, I just realised this is a totally male dominated forum… actually every forum I'm apart of whether it be diysb, ilf etc

That Obelisk looks pretty nice. I like simple layouts like that. Good stuff. What kind of fuzz is it?

Looks cool man, all your pedals that I've seen so far do.

There's been a few women on stoner/doom related forums I've frequented. They all seem to have migrated away in the last couple years though. There are plenty of women that post in TalkBass, though not in the Stoner/Doom thread currently. I think the internet has made women skittish of male dominated discussion forums online, for good reason unfortunately.

That is actually my favorite album by them, Raze the Stray for me hits my emotional home. Fucking intense but sorrowful, with a bit of vengeance thrown in. and Cleanse?!?!?!?! MOTHER FUCKING CLEANSE!!!!! Any and all tribal music being infused into metal started and ended there, period.

My thoughts exactly. Although Through Silver In Blood is right up there with it to me. So close I can't decide which one is my favorite.

Times of Grace and Through Silver in Blood are my two favourites.

Oh, I forgot to get the new Tombs record. I have no money now. :(

I don't know any girls who are interested in gear that don't work in media or bands.
