I'm really excited for the new Make Noise thing. It's being revealed in 1.5 hours.

MN just posted that they're delaying their video by 24 hours. To hear more about it today, there's going to be a Sonicstate clip and possibly an IG live thing, if the stream is fixed.Muse FTW wrote:I'm really excited for the new Make Noise thing. It's being revealed in 1.5 hours.

Apparently it's a standalone complex oscillator with a delay in there. The short delay (3 taps, unsynchronized) has a filter in the feedback loop.

These look great and will likely deliver in the sound department, but $400 will be hard for many people to look past.
They've got a stereo out option, onboard presets, and the ability to download additional algorithms (via USB). As someone who's not a fan of the UA platform, I'm skeptical of their viability in the stompbox realm. UA is the only company I know of that won't let you use their plugins without their hardware. Even some of their most basic plugins cost as much as the pedal/hardware versions they're emulating. I like the sounds, but I'm not a fan of their prices or their lack of flexibility.

Very interested in the reverb, even at that price point - Universal Audio's plugins mostly seem overrated to me except for the various reverbs. Wouldn't be hard for me to believe they matched the Chase Bliss/Meris pedal in quality for $500 less.
I want to see a manual and find out about line level sources, though.

Can't find either in the initial literature.jirodreamsofdank wrote:Very interested in the reverb, even at that price point - Universal Audio's plugins mostly seem overrated to me except for the various reverbs. I really want to know if you get one, three, or nine presets.

If they didn't accommodate hotter-than-guitar signals that's an impressive level of self-dick punching.

Stoked for the Make Noise thing. Sounds exactly like I want all my synths to sound.
Cyborg See Cyborg Do (ambient, drone, soundtrack-style)
Sandbite (electronic noisepop/shoegaze/whatever)
CHERNØBØG (industrial techno, rhythmic noise and stuff)
