Pocket Scion incoming! I probably don't have an immediate use-case for any of the midi stuff, but I will jam with vegetables.
Dubs: the little bastl synths I have don't have battery covers, and I haven't had any problem with them popping out.

Here's a few more for September:
Way Huge (Smalls) Doom Hammer (90s op-amp Muff)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkWM7-ui5Xs (via Fuzz Drones)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyJdoWWisH0 (1 minute of riffs via Salem's Bend)
BOSS tries to dethrone the Digitech Whammy and the EHX Pitch Fork with their XS-1 and XS-100 Poly Shifters.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZUYktSxUnY (XS-100: 1 minute demo from Professor Dirt) I quite fancy the tremolo sound at the end.

curious how much the EQD resembles the Tone Reaper i used to have before i sold it to the EQD Collector Guy. i loved the sound, but it was so gainy that i could only use it with the volume barely on.

A: the Reaper was smoother. maybe it was the Tone knob.

Now We Are Ghosts started as an attempt to create a synthesizer out of a reverb. Start with the familiar filter, envelope generators, low-frequency oscillators, and voltage-controlled amplifiers. Then replace the voltage-controlled oscillators with the reverb voice. The result is Now We Are Ghosts.
[*]Mono or stereo input (TRS)
[*]Mono or stereo output (use either TRS or dual TS)
[*]MIDI with no menus

What about fungi, will you jam with fungi? I want to know if maitake will reign supreme over boring old portabellos.

oh, sorry…i completely forgot about that. short answer: i don’t know anything about Guitorgans or their care and feeding. i imagine their relative rarity and rare-bird status play into this along with the sheer amount of wiring in a wired-fret guitar controller.

Oh, jeez. I remember Dan Forte aka “Teisco Del Rey” put a lot of ink on guitar organs into old 80s and 90s issues of Guitar Player magazine. While he was fond, my recollection was the confessed reality was that putting cheap portable organ bits in cheap, shoddily built guitars didn’t not reflect well on either side of the guitar/organ proposition.

I'll be getting down with all organic life forms... though sadly now, maybe not for an indeterminate time. Expected delivery: tomorrow. Sudden postal strike announcement: effective immediately.

Two “Tone Benders” in a week with the EHX and the EQD Burrows. Who knows how bastardized the EHX is, though I did go back and look at MK III schematics and, yeah, there was a clipping diode. Doesn’t sound bad but I’m not sure I’m feeling a strong personality. I will say the Burrows demos do sound really, really good to me and does have a personality.

i really, really wish the Barrows had a tone knob. there’s a particular thing i like to do with Benders where i use the knob to scale down the toothiness while keeping the density and sustain. it does sound good in the B’s Music Shop video i saw. it’s notable that the volume level barely changes at all no matter where you set the Attack, which is an unusual thing in a fuzz.
i don’t really feel the need for another Bender at the moment because i have a MK II and a MK III from CMC Effects that i found on Reverb. i prefer the III cos of that tone control; without it the II is a bit bitey-face for my tastes. i wish i could find one that sounded like my old Tone Reaper.
