want... glowy letters... now... WHERE?!?!
Amazing.

Yep, at first I was like WTF which inputs should I use? Then took a deep breath and texted a friend. Ahah.. he helped out. The anser was really simple indeed though.

Inner Vegas wrote:Hi all, new member here. I've had a CT5 since 2015 and use it a ton. I didn't know that all of these new cool features were added - how can I find out if my version can be updated? I emailed the Montreal Assembly guy but never got a response. I think mine is the "J" version. Transcendence and different levels for mode 3 sound really great and I've love those features.
Listen, I have a rev K and from what I understood from scott is:
Some updates would be available but nor in a near future. Reason: The chip in our versions is less powerful. So you better can sell it and grab a new one. So yeah, I mean that the early buyers aren't rewarded.

I understand the feeling of missing out, but also keep in mind that early buyers also paid up to $50 less than the newer pedals are going for ($200 vs. $250). Though rev k is compatible with every update up to the most recent one - 0.963

yes k and l are the same circuit, both work with the same firmware. again there a re really only 3 versions,

h and i are the same and are the 2 switch version with the smaller font on the case (model seen in knobs video).
j added the q switch and larger font.
k and l are the same, and the current version.

k and l account for about 90% of all units in existence at this point.

have a nice day!

A friend asked me to record a little bass outro for his band's record, so I did and I made a second track of it run thru the Ct5. This was back before the latest firmware and there was some weird noise, almost like a scratchy pot, introduced at certain modulation settings in mode 1. It kicks in at the last 20 or so seconds of this track, but adds a really nice feel to it. I've since upgraded my firmware, but I'm glad I got to use that bug to my advantage at least once. https://iincineratednewyork.bandcamp.com/track/heritage

I traded around and I'm up to rev L now. My "freeze" isn't working in mode 1. I hold the soft switch and the led turns green but the buffer isn't locking. What am I doing wrong?

try to update to the latest firmware. it only freezes as long as you have the foot switch down.

I love the idea but think this clarifies nothing. I still wouldn't know which is which based on this layout if I didn't already know.

It's still the standard right/in, left/out like virtually every other pedal. They're just closer together. That's how I remember it at least.
