Finally got me an iPad.
Anyone have any luck recording doomy music on their iPads? If so, how?
I bought the basic iRig thing and it's bad. Too much noise and I can't hear myself very well through the headphones. So either iRig is just bad all around and/or I need better phones. Before I made another purchase I wanted to see what you guys recommend.

i got this early on
http://tascam.com/product/im2/works better the further away you have it
coupled with twisted wave
its cool for room recordings
and listening back to yourself
theres a tech and recording section here with good info
now i have a dedicated laptop
so i just mostly chop out clips, upload and listen back
but supposedly there are good interfaces better than the i rig
heres tech and recording
viewforum.php?f=247and a pic of the tascam im2 i got
essentially turns your ipad or pod into a condennser recorder thing for $35

Jelly.
I once had Sandford Parker shoot me a menacing 'who the fuck are you' look.
He might have just been looking past where I was, but at the time I was terrified.

that is glorious. But I think if it was me I'd be angry to hear it since I don't get to hear the rest of the song or album.

Seymour Duncan "SLUG"
Seymour Duncan Website wrote:It's fat, gnarly, and insanely high-output - it's the SLUG. Measuring at 48k DCR, it gives of an immense sound that is perfect for stoner and doom metal. Comes with mounting ring.

I like the crowbar song in the demo.
I don't know what I could do with a pickup rated at 48k...

There's not much you could do with it unless you plug straight into the amp, at which point its basically like having a tubescreamer on max with all the tone rolled off in front of your amp.

Why would anyone in the fucking world want that pickup? Sheesh. I'll stick with my Burstbuckers. Low/medium output p/us all day for me.

This is what I imagine with pickups like that:

Well, if you're looking for a no-pedal solution, you could do worse.

So what would the Doom Room do if you found out a pedal you bought years ago for $400 is worth anywhere from $450 to 800? Add to the flame or be the good guy and help put a stop to unicorn horn-smoking bullshit?
