Nice title there T-Rey.
ALSO:
Sleep has written and recorded a new song. New, as in brand new. Never played live. Never before recorded. It will be released via the Adult Swim Singles program for 2014 on July 21st.
I AM SO TENTATIVE.

Note to future self, Do not loan 400 watt tube heads to other bands no matter how much they are sure their cab can handle it and how rad a band they are. It is to much power for mortals hands to possess.
Cab fried.
Head was left on as they continued to try to make noise through dead cab.
Head no worky now.
I'm hoping there is an internal fuse thats blown.
Set em up with the Verellen and one of our cables and one of our cabs and the show went on. was a rad night, but.
My poor peeby
played one of our best sets to one of the best crowds we've ever had though and the whole night rocked severely so I'm not even mad about it. Just got to get it fixed quick for upcoming show.

Thanks!
Timm Grimm wrote:Trey, that's awesome. I wish I had it in New to write a book. I have an idea for sci-fi book, but I doubt I'll ever put forth the effort. Many kudos man.
Fuck that. Get a notebook out and start writing down ideas. I was in the same boat as you - had this idea kicking around for several years, but was too intimidated to start it. You never know how feasible it is until you start.
Welcome back, btw - glad you made it home safe and hope your separation from the military goes smoothly

I will be letting any and everyone know as soon as it's available. I don't normally blow my own horn, but this will definitely be an exception to that

Thank you, sir. And thanks for the encouragement awhile back about self-publishing this shit.
I don't know how I feel about the new Sleep track being something completely new. I guess we will know in a couple of weeks...
ShaolinLambKiller wrote:Trey... just realized the book you linked was as in a book you wrote, very awesome man.
Indeed it is, and thank you. Time will tell if calling it a book is an insult to real authors, but it's a bunch of words I wrote, so I'm pretty proud of it.
Sucks about the amp Ax - hope it's a quick fix.

Well it's a book cause it's pages of words. Now the quality of the placement of those words is going to be the real test. I'll read it. I'll support!

Fuck yeah T-rey...looks great! Let us know when its ready to buy...i will be in for sure.
Good to see you back on Timm, and good luck with getting out of the army...hope it does work out. I can't imagine the kind of stress that would have on life...mojo sent your way!
Ax...that sucks about the amp...hope its nothing too major and you can get that fixed quick. Out of interest...is it the Simms Watts amp thats 400w?
also...today...i shaved my 7 month beard...I did have a dream about 2 weeks ago where i shaved my beard and i cried, and in real life...i didn't cry, but i wasn't happy...but then my wife was excited to kiss me, so i guess it all works out!

I have decided that I'm going to build a cabronita Jazzmaster. Only problem is I'm not sure if Warmoth will do the pickguard for me. Pretty sure I could talk them into it or find someone who could make it. It's essentially going to be this but flat black with a w/b/w pickguard, no tone knob, and an all maple neck:

Oh and no god damn relic bullshit. I'll beat it up myself.

PEEBEY FEEXED!
Internal fuses blew. I swapped em out and it lives!
Thank you Peavey designers for putting in redundant fuses and making that thing tough as shit.
the hardest part was taking it out of the shell. 8 heavy duty bolts where the transformers are and another 4 for just the chassis. shit is solid. The built like a tank rep is well deserved and perhaps surpassed on this amp.
Fucking thing weighs a ton even outside the headshell. those trannys are giant.

Anyone ever use gk bass heads? 700rb(II), 800rb, 1001rb(II). I'm thinking of picking up one of them. My biggest issue with them is they are a 4 ohm max and I'd only be able to use one cab.(most likely the aggie 810) But that's not really an issue because I'm able to run dual rigs if need be. It's mainly because I'm not blown away by my tube heads and I really just want to try something new.
Picked up some of that electronics cleaner from O'Reillys. Haven't tried it yet though. I'll update later.
Trey, count me in for a copy.(hopefully signed

)
Ax, that really fucking sucks. Lucky for you, if I recall correctly, you have a plethora of backups to choose from. But.... still sucks. (Update:) that's awesome it was just a fuse.

LOLZA...
In other news, I am glad that the 400 got sorted. I am a bit weird when it comes to lending things like cymbals. There is no fuse to replace. Either it is whole, or it is cracked, with little in between. And no one ever thinks THEY're the one who cracked it. Hardware, no problem, drums, less an issue than cymbals, but cymbals? ?? I better know you pretty well. lol.
That Peavey IS built like a tank and weighs as much. Sounds solid though.

PB trannys are way bigger than that.
Rodmans like a line sux or something.
I will be more carefull if lending gear to make a show work comes up again. I figured. "Best amp I have for bass". Not, "most bulletproof unfuckupable setup." Dudes a monster bassist and I equated that with knowing gear. that does not always work out. I'm to used to talking with you lot.
