Today I bumped another car in a parking lot because he was parked like a fucking asshole, so me and some guy who saw looked at the car and didn't see any type of damage so I just went into the store. Came back out to see a "good samaritan" and cop standing next to my car, who lectured me for about 10 minutes before saying "happy holidays" and handing me a $300 ticket. Then I went to work and didn't receive any type of Christmas bonus like I had the previous 3 years.

Fuck today.

Fuck's sake. That asshat.

You know what though, since what's his face anonymous dick saw you do it and the cop took his word for it, if you go to your court date it might get dismissed since there's no witness (dude isn't going to come to court to nail you). Not 100% on this though. Hmm but you probably admitted to the cop that you did it, I guess that's a confession. Someone who knows anything about anything should weigh in on this.

Pay your fine and move on. A court hearing, especially for a fine, is can of worm. You know what you get in with, you don't know what you get out with (maybe you win, maybe you don't, maybe the judge thinks your a guilty asshat and will fine you on top for a frivolous lawsuit or whatever, maybe either way you pay court fees or whatever, I don't know the specifics of the US judicial system). But yeah, nothing is ever guaranteed in court. You have to be ready for better but also for worst.

Up to you, was it a ticket for leaving the scene of an accident? Are there any notes on the ticket? I dunno about in Wisconsin (every state is different) but here in Mass the courts are so flooded with things you don't go to a real court for most civil or traffic stuff, you get sent to a local magistrate (this takes months to be scheduled). When you show up and check in at the office the first thing the counter person offers you (before ever taking a number or meeting the magistrate) is a reduced fine you can pay on the spot and just leave. So here, almost everyone always fights everything haha. if you don't take that initial offer it costs ~$50 to see the magistrate regardless if you win or loose your case.

So more bullshit at work.

This older white woman came in obviously on some sort of drug, took her shoes off, and put them on the table. My manger goes over to her and says that, obviously, she cant do that and asked her polietly to move her shoes. This woman told her to shut the fuck up, looked at all of us and called us all stupid mexicans and told us to get our green cards.

Was about to fucking punch this bitch square in the jaw, but fortunately we had some customers who werent ok with her bs and basically talked the piss out of her till we all ended up laughing in her face.

So she sits there for an hour or so. We stopped giving a fuck honestly cause she shut up.

However, A bit before we locked up the lobby One of our last customers comes up to complain. Apperantly this bitch had threaned this customer say she was going to HAVE HER RAPED. Now I doubt this woman could do much of anything as far as harming anyone, but I didnt give a ahit. Boundries broken, lines crossed. Was walking over to kick her out and saw her trying to run out with one of the little serving buckets in the lobby full of sauce. I snatched it from her and pushed her out the door and told her to never come back, along with plenty of fucks thrown in.

Luckly I don't work christmas eve. I don't feel like putting the fear of god into any more dumbasses today thanks.

super diverse city translates to diversity of assholes. Familiarity breeds contempt, and city life encourages disassociation with humanity due to the rat race. Everyone on top of each other, in a mad rush competing for basic resources, space and services. Also a pissing contest of who can be the most obnoxious and miserable at any given time. Humans are social creatures but too much of a good thing applies. Compare it to the people you meet in small towns, who may give you shit but tend to be genuine & friendly by comparison.

I didn't really like George Michael or his music, but in 2016 way too many big musicians left the stage.
