It's a forum wide problem not your IT department. I can only access the forum on my phone on cell data, no wifi.

IF your IT is anything like mine, I wouldn't credit them with anywhere near the intelligence level required to put 2 and 2 together.

Heh, IT dept. shenanigans. I've been having issues accessing ILF from my phone, but only if I'm on 4G; wifi appears to work fine. The forum tells me my 4G IP address is banned.

I finally got that other Laney I bought a month ago sorted, turns out it's only 100W  but that means I can plug it into just about any old 412. Dual amp rig of doom! Now to get a dedicated looper and all shall be sorted!

Weekend of the drummers, take 3. I'm waiting for a guy to show up any minute to jam here in town, going out to Santa Cruz tomorrow to jam with two other drummers and in talks with a couple more to set stuff up for next week. Here's hoping at least one of them pans out, getting a lot more responses this time and most of them seem pretty promising, at least as far as being into the demo tracks and the style in general.

My subconscious must really dig the Infinite Flux. Had one of those anxiety dreams, usually I am back in the army, or sitting in as a drummer for some big band like, Metallica...

Well, last night I had a dream about our Saturday gig. I am sitting on my throne with last minute thoughts like, I wonder if this place has water. And some girl behind me, as if she could hear me, shoots me a snotty look and says, "Get your own water". And I am now thinking, bitch, I wasn't talking to you, OR asking you to get me water. But just then, I hear John launch into the first few notes of our first song, Teo. No problem, except instead of my kit being set up, I look and notice everything is still in cases. Ahhhhh!

Anyway, must be a good sign because it is usually the same situation, but for some big band, and this time it was Flux. Ha!

Noticed the humming stopped when I turned on pedals later in the chain. Did some more investigating and found it was the cable from pedal board to amp that was the problem ( :?: ). Phew, not the pedal. Swapped it out but the only other cable I had so brightened the overall sound I went back to the broken one  Won't be a huge problem since I don't ever use the Black Forest without delay on but I should still probably replace the cable. Recommendations for darker sounding cables?

I've never tried em, but what about the bass specific monster cables?

Just answered an ad for an instrumental math rock/post rock/metal band seeking a bassist. I hope these guys get back to me. It'll be an hour drive both ways but man, it would be so worth it.

Cables is cables. PLEASE don't encourage the crystal lettuce cable makers. It either completes the connection as intended or does not. Sounds like you had a cable that was failing, but you adjusted to it, and now using cable that is correct, it does not sound how you want. turn down volume on the pedal in question or on the things after it. You had a cable that was passing a weak signal, as if something had been turned way down.
The humming was caused by a short to ground in the cable. I'd bet on it.

An hour north or south?
