Which means that we lose the money from the sale, we lose the pedal, and there is virtually nothing we can do to better vet the transactions. If the shipping and billing name match and the address gets confirmed in our stamps.com account, I don't know what else we can do to make sure we aren't getting ripped off. I can't refuse to sell to people whose shipping and billing address are different, because that happens all the damn time.

I am honestly considering not taking cards anymore because we have lost a LOT of money over this shit. People are trash.
I know it's probably not mainstream enough or maybe even easily accessible, but maybe blockchain technology (ex. bitcoin) could be a way around this? I don't really know a lot about on a detailed level but on a macro level I think it could be a solution

Or they steal a card and just use a different shipping address. Shitty people try all kinds of tricks to cheat the system.

I don't think that Bitcoin would help much because it is so limited in usage (relatively speaking). The reason we started taking credit cards was that we got a lot of complaints from people who didn't want to use paypal. If pedal buyers didn't want to sign up for pp, I doubt most would go for something less common.

I think there just are no good solutions and the banks and card processing companies are the ones who are supposed to find the frauds, then fail, and then they assume NO RISK and we pay all of it. Fuck it and fuck them.

If you get PayPal virtual terminal it gets around that, I think. :idk:
I shut down my Chase business bank account for various reasons, wariness of credit card scams being one of them.
I can still accept credit/debit cards, but (AFAIK, i haven't had any disputes in a long time) I'm pretty sure they have to go through PayPal to dispute anything.

I am going to look into what we can do with our website. We are limited by the services they offer (for now), so I can't pick a different cc processor without moving our site, which sucks. Looking into it now...

Why can't I get all of the poop out of my colon in one sitting instead of like five or six over a three hour period?

Go easy on the white wheat dough, eat more fibers and drink more water. 2 liters a day, more if you drink alcohol or diuretics such as . Should fix you up in a week or so ;)

Did you try linseed (flax seed)? Maybe that can help you. Doesn't taste too spectacular, but here in Germany you can buy several sorts of multi-grain bread with linseed and these taste good.

Use good hand lotion on a piece of toilet paper afterwards. Works.

Yeah, I get that. Up until the end of last year I was quietly confident that there would be a steady political shift towards actually taking care of the planet.
But now everybody is preoccupied with bullshitting everyone else that we're on the brink of another global war.
Which is unlikely, but great sideshow to keep our minds off of the global financial attrition currently rolling out.
I think people want to change, but your average person doesn't know how exactly we can do it without things being tough for a while and without governments and big corporations taking a stand and providing more leadership and clear-cut arguments in the face of this ideal that we need to return to the 50s or whatever, then those dumb arguments prevail in the face of reason because they're simply louder and more butthurt.
But, I stand by my argument, there is still plenty of good left in the world to see and experience.
And, to ratify yours, chank, we absolutely need to work harder to protect what's left and repair what we can.
