Yep. The post office is getting out of hand with their fucking pricing. The cheapest I can ship a book (without using media mail and risking it taking two fucking weeks) is $5.70 in one of the priority envelopes - a bit more if they have the padded mailers that I would rather ship in.

And lo, e-books were born.

Finally running both amps at once with an ABY courtesy of Midnight Amplification. Quantum Mystic or Algal Bloom into the Butcher and Pharaoh into the VT22 is amazing. So thick and heavy.

And lack of download codes and a surplus of shipping costs piss me off too! Yeah!

Yeah....I need to get off my ass and finish formatting for Kindle. Or just pay someone to do it.

I think a lot about selling off everything and going with one really nice amp/pedals, but then I bask in the glory of my mini a/b/y and I realize I'm being stupid.

I haven't really noticed media mail taking longer to ship records than it does first class or priority. Maybe a days difference but I've never had them take longer than three of four days to ship anywhere in the US. I do media mail with tracking unless insurance is specified. Then it goes Priority.

Good to know. If you don't mind, I may send your book via media mail to see how long it takes. They scared me with the whole 'it will take at least six business days to get there' when I asked about it with the first round of books.

There's a lot of cool things you can do with formatting an ebook that you can't do with ink and paper. Don't know how interested are in the idea of an interactive e-book, as its a lot of time and effort (read: paying someone else for that) but the results can be really phenomenal.

I was actually unaware of that - but I really like the idea. I will be googling some services to see what they can do and how much it will set me back. I spent quite a bit of time learning about proper formatting for a print book and took that on by myself. Don't know if I have it in me to do the same for the ebook.

Drop C. I'm sure I'll have some clips soon. Will post when I do.

Yeah I order a lot of records on eBay and most people use media mail, usually takes 3-4 days and at the most 5.

I've always used media mail to ship CDs, vinyl, books, etc. and it's always gotten there super fast.
