True story.
Also, the Judge who married us was playing a mandolin. Was pretty awesome.

Really loving this. Very ISIS-y, and I loves me some ISIS.

Glad you enjoy. The second track is one that I worried that wouldn't translate very well live since it was clean quiet and instrumental for the first half of it but it has ended up being a crowd favorite. I kinda zone out during the first and last parts and just let it do its thing. Then I come to and feel awkward when I realize people have been staring at me.

Got it cranked while I clean the apartment. Fuck yeah man. You recorded this? Sounds good dude!

Glad you dig it man. Yeah, I recorded the drums with 4 mics in our practice space and the rest at home in my spare bedroom. Recorded with Reaper (first time using it and it wasn't too bad figuring it out) and did a little mastering in Wavelab.

Checking this out now! :yay:

 I checked out your new band. Sounds like we'd be a perfect fit for shows. We're planning on doing a run up to Philly to hook up with a show or two with the guys we did the split 7" with. We'll have to hook something up on that trip.

I figured you'd dig the bass tone. Jazz bass > Rat > SVT 3 Pro

samzadgan wrote:Skully and Conky...just finished listening to both your stuff...man...i gotta say, I loved all of it. It not just pure doom room bias...i did really enjoy it all.

Conky...I really like the vocals, you got a hell of a voice. The second track with the acoustic parts throughout was really nice. I'm a big fan of mixing soft and hard stuff and that was righ up my alley, and the song structure is really good on it.
Skully...I like the atmospheric quality of both tracks...not sure if thats the right term to describe it, but thats what I'm gonna call it. Its like those songs that take on your journey's and you just go into a trance-like state...i hope you get what I mean.

Glad you did it. We did a lot of experimenting on that one (buried tracks of weird shit, background vocals that straight ripped off Om and Windhand's vocals, ect.) but I think it worked pretty well.

skullservant wrote:Conky, gonna listen to your stuff tonight after I help some friends move!

And I totally know what you mean samzadgan. Thats totally one of my intents!

You should listen to the first song while you help them move. It will make you wanna one spear throw the couch through the second story window. Listened to your stuff last night too. You got dat tone, son! I dug all the tracks but the first one was especially awesome.

Barracuda wrote:Fuckin a' Conky and skully, you guys killed it. Been listening to your shit all day at work.

 Thanks!

Opening for Primitive Man, Hexis and Burning Ghats tonight, beyond stoked. About to start drinking stress beers though, all my bandmates are at work until just about opening so I'm in charge of fuckin' everything gah!

That will be a rad as fuck show.

This.

Checkin' out now. Just hit the first vocals. VERY HEAVY.

Just got to the part when the double bass kicks in -- diggggin' it. Nice work.

That's my favorite part of the song. They wanted that to be a "chorus" with lots of vocals and I said nah, I gotta fucking headband during that part. Too fucking heavy.

I got off of work last night and my wife called me and said 'Yeah so we aren't helping them move today, we are helping them on Friday. SO I'M SAVING IT FOR FRIDAY TO SPEAR COUCHES

YEEEUUUUUS. OZ and the states! Wife and I are catching them at the Frederick show in September, stoked. It's been a while since I've seen them!
Was talking with Parker yesterday about basssssss and he's been trying out different pedals and stuff. Said he switched from his trusty Black Russian to a Bluebeard over the past few days and wanted to jam it at practice to see how he liked it in a band context. Gonna hang out with him in a few weeks when the wife and I are in Richmond and play around with some Dirge stuff

Cooooooool. Hope some of that makes it down here. The venue they'll play in brisbane is quite small, basement bar type deal. They should level it.
I look forward to it.
I gotta get to listening to your stuff Skully. I need to do a big catch up.

Currently on a nostalgia trip listening to my old band....fuck this shit is like.....9 years old now.
Fuck.
And has not aged well... :picard:

Yeah man HoF rolled through and played there a couple of weeks ago now and I've seen a few rad shows there now. Conan will be playing there as well.
So it should rule pretty hard.

Pretty much what I was thinking when I went on my nostalgia trip.

Ah, to be young again....without the cluelessness.
Ah fuck it, I'm still clueless.
Apparently now, I'm just more bitter, according to my wife.

Thanks man and agreed!!!!! Dude I would totally be all about that! We should be ready in a month or two to start playing shows. We're aiming for ten songs known to start playing shows, and I'll be half way there in a week and a half! Just let us know when you'd be coming through and I'll get the gears in motion.

By the way those two songs are fucking awesome. :doom:

I'd be so down to play with you guys, Conky. If it's in Philly that's even better. Philly basement shows are always the best.
