Congratulations!UglyCasanova wrote:Must...post...new synth...EVERYWHERE!

You are already using the VCO mixer knobs and the HPF in the right way. The MS-20 can sound a lot less gritty and much cleaner with less VCO gain and if you use the HPF in exactly that way (okay, cutoff on "4" and resonance at "8" maybe) and without influence of the envelope generator you step into the fat bass Moog-like territory. Not exactly Moog (that would be bonkers at that price and with that "shitty" filter*), but it's the closest to that sound you can come with the MS-20 if you use these tricks.
*KORG MS-20 filter is THE shit!

As far as I can tell (I've been wanting to use the two channels of MIDI-CV for controlling two synths for a while) you cannot do that, but you can tune the slope circuit to an interval and have harmoniesvidret wrote:ok so please be the one person on the internet willing to tell me;
does the 0-coast do paraphonic (2 voices) via midi if you use the slope as a second voice? since it's tunable.
I play guitar and modular synthesizer in Juggable Offense.

i think this man is correct. i've only had about 3 hours into it, been setting up a patchbay and new audio interface that does some.... odd things. but i don't think you can control the slope that way?moogboy wrote:As far as I can tell (I've been wanting to use the two channels of MIDI-CV for controlling two synths for a while) you cannot do that, but you can tune the slope circuit to an interval and have harmoniesvidret wrote:ok so please be the one person on the internet willing to tell me;

How versatile is the 0-Coast? I've had mine in a box for over a month and haven't even touched it ... i'm thinking of getting a dreadbox erubus to pair with it ...behndy wrote:i think this man is correct. i've only had about 3 hours into it, been setting up a patchbay and new audio interface that does some.... odd things. but i don't think you can control the slope that way?moogboy wrote:As far as I can tell (I've been wanting to use the two channels of MIDI-CV for controlling two synths for a while) you cannot do that, but you can tune the slope circuit to an interval and have harmoniesvidret wrote:ok so please be the one person on the internet willing to tell me;

You could send yours to me if you have no plans to use it. I could give it a smoke-free home.

Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
It has pretty much been sitting dormant for a few months, for numerous reasons... but hey.
Combine this with the SQ-1, TR-Rack, Blofeld, and some weird old hammond pipe organ module. Voila. My rig.

NICE!
That's pretty much exactly what I want to do with my Mini. Did you build the casing yourself?
How do you fancy the English Tear? It seems like the best option for incorporating the MS with euro.

Re: Let's see your KEYS/SYNTHS!
Thanks!
Yeah, I just used the plastic sides as a template, same with the sides of the Pittsburgh unit. Ran along the outline with a router and sanded the corners down/stained it.
English tear is definitely the way to go. Just follow their instructions and calibrate it.

Blofeld is great. Interfacing with PC is pretty rough, like every other synth... but some of the libraries and patches out there are phenomenal.JereFuzz wrote:Nice setup! How do you like the Blofeld?Rygot wrote:Thanks!

Super flexible too when it comes to creating and editing your own patches.
