WHORES.

Also check out the stinkfoot website. He has a couple posts about the crybaby wah. http://stinkfoot.se/archives/549

I did a few of these mods to a wah for a guy who wasn't really happy with the stock sound. He hasn't gotten to play with it much to give me feedback but once he does get to sit down with it, we may do more changes.

So I'm playing in a new band and they have one of these beauties for me to use:

With a matching Peavey 2x15. I'm pretty sure its a bass 400.

The fucker is LOUD! And so bright. Holy shit. I had the treble at 8 or 9 o clock and it was still making all my dirt super bright. Gonna have to mess around with it next practice.

Anyone used one of these? Any tips? Like, specifically, louder cleans? I'm using what I assume is the clean channel, but theres no master volume. Just a gain, so the louder it gets, the more it breaks up. Which would be fine, but I don't wanna be crushing skulls while the guitar is playing cleaner/prettier stuff.

P90's are definitely sweet, especially when their nice n hot. I eventually wanna get one of those Agile goldtop dual p-90 LP copies, so I can get my Greg Anderson on. I love me some SOMA but when I saw Sunn live with Skully it was greg's tone that straight up blew me away, the clanky and bright EGC of SOMA's just wasn't for me.

Hell yeah dude please let me know when it gets there and that everything is okay!!!!!

Goddamn, it's been a while since I've posted. Used to play one of those heads. Loved it so much and miss it all the time. I could never get as much volume as I needed out of it, though, but I dunno. Also I don't remember how I ever had it eq'd, the reefer's taken my memory. Basically, I have nothing productive to contribute other than, dope head, really fucking want one again.

YES. OK, so the general consensus is that skull crushing is the way to go. Got it.

I'm really impressed with it. It takes dirt like a champ. I am on the fence about playing through the clean channel or the dirty one, but the clean one seems to take other dirt better, and I'm not going to neglect the dirt.

That was one of the first bass amps I ever played, when I was 17 and was learning how to play bass. Didn't own it, it was just available to me, but I love that era of Peavey solid state gear.

I heard back from the guy that wants to do the dual bass band. Going to try to meet up with him next week to jam and see if it clicks. Neither of us have a line on any drummers though, so we may just try it out with me sequencing electronic drums on my DAW and pumping them through a PA.

Yeah, Wormwood is cool. I was a fan of Cop Shoot Cop as well. I tried really hard to start a two bass, downtuned, distorted band back around 2003. Got into the practice and demo recording phase and fizzled out. I tried a couple times after that and tried some bass/drum duo stuff too. I remember listening to a lot of Union of Uranus back then and hooking a drummer in because of that, since I guess it's kind of an obscure band. They never lasted though, no one ever wanted to do it as their main band. They'd jam a little bit and then start in with "maybe we should get a guitarist, play a little faster" and that sort of thing. WEAKLINGS.

I think I might have sold some recording equipment to one of the guys from Wormwood previously. I can't remember, it might have been someone tangentially related who recorded them. It was through the TapeOp forum.

Just popping in to say that head crushing is the desired result of any amp.

Trey, pm incoming
