Whiskers - you are a good dude for taking in those sweet pups.
Summit - glad that you get some closure knowing that others won't experience what you had to. Places like that are fucking awful.

thanks guys
seriously means alot
i think you know im pretty much an open book
but i try to keep personal details to a minimum
this was just too important
for years before the internet no one believed us
they had manipulated our parents
into not beliving it was going on then
and 20 yrs later my father still has trouble hearing it
we never talk about it anymore
it would kill our relationship
but if my folks came to the realization
that they had sent me to a place that was doing this shit
and the people specifically lied to them from day one
that i would make up the shit they wrre doing in there
and they now found out it was all true
theyd be devistated
so all these years our parents were in denial
to protect their mental wellbeing i guess
so some of us literally grew up and went before congress
some of us(me) got high to forget
but the advent of the internet made it possible to destroy these fucking monsters
and what trey wrote
thats where im at with it
always felt guilty i didnt rally some troops
and just tear the walls outta those places
im on a list to be interviewed for a documentary about one of the places
i guess we just make sure it never happens again
and my personal hells have shut their doors
but there are more out there
it seems so obvious
never trust someone who denies you access to a family member
"for their own good"
theres a million lessons
people (kids and adults alike) need help and support
the last thing you need when your struggling
is to be thrown to the wolves
intentionally or not
sorry to go off again
and really thanks for understanding everybody

Wow Ryan, that's way fucked and I can understand why you kinda hold it close to your chest. Glad they finally got shut down just a huge shame it took so long for it to happen.
Whiskey... so awesome of you. Rescue babies are the best babies.
Joe Gress , I'll give it a listen I guess when I get home, bandcamp doesn't play on my laptop. I'll try looking it up on youtube after I dry my hair.

Sorry to hear about the bad shit Summit. But glad that parts of it are getting better.
Had a good time at Whores the other day. They played great. My gf got some good pics. Wish I could have hanged out a bit after the show but had to run because I had to be in early the next morning for an instrument pickup.

Just put a down payment on a Sunn Coliseum 880. Found it at a local GC. Really surprised that the price wasn't outrageous. It's on lockdown until the 22nd, so I won't have it till after then. Still pretty stoked, nonetheless.

what a fucking cute dog. good on you for rescuing her. she still looks like a puppy! as i've posted here before, i have two rescue dogs, both from horrible situations and they're so awesome and sweet. such resilient and inspiring spirits. my girlfriend and i have both actually ended up doing some volunteering with the pit bull rescue that we adopted our newest dog from a few months ago. it's rewarding and heartbreaking at the same time.
and ryan, i really feel for you. so horrible that you had to go through that. i'm really glad that it closed down and i really hope it helps you heal. and good job for standing up and doing what you can to stop others from having to go through it. i narrowly avoided being sent to one of those "torture kids in the woods" style long term treatment facilities when i was a teenager. such a nightmare that so many kids have had to suffer through.

I read an article recently about one of these places. Really crazy shit. I'm sorry you had to go through that.

oh i need no sympathy homey
ive done enough self-everything-erating
its just so far gone now
only a recyurting nightmare
and i think quite a few of us have those here
lets just hope theres something occupying the space its leaving
that good people are gonna be trying to help our kids
and yeah outward bound in the 80s-90s was supposedly crazy
and if a bed wasnt open at the family
thats where i was going
of course the grass is greener
and i wishd i got sent to the woods instead
but ive heard stories from that shit too
crushing a kids spirit and soul is bad no matter how you try to do it

in the article I read, they made this girl go chop down a huge tree in the woods from sunrise to sunset every day until it was done. it took her a month.
another girl went on a "nature hike" in the woods and when she got dehydrated, they left her behind and said they'd get her on the way back. when they found her, she was almost dead.
and this was for doing shit like smoking weed or talking back.
and they came and got them in the middle of the night. so fucked.

Looked like a rad experience, and probably very cool for you to meet some EU folks you've gotten to know and done business with.

Whisk - You sir are the definition of an American Bad Ass.
RyMatt - No words I can say will ever be enough or relate what I would want to say. You've been through the shit, by force and by choice, and come out a better man.
Nick - Sounds like you had a blast!!!!! But you should have taken more pics..... 300+ just isn't enough.
