What a poncy write up. Ranking records is stupid, but there's no way anyone considers Cessation their best record unless it was the first Yob album you listened to because you weren't listening to doom when they broke up the first time.
New song is tasty. Sounds like what'd you expect a new Yob song to sound like. I like it.

I think its a good analogy, actually. I just don't think the dude really knows what he's talking about.

Agreed on all fronts -- listening now and it's pretty solid. I'm excited to hear a "fast" YOB song, too.

always liked Middian more than Yob. Not sure why. I'm pretty indifferent to the new Yob, never been a go to band either.
Also killing time just google imaging rigs of doom and amp porn... You know I don't get when bands just cover up the logos of some of their gear with duct tape. Usually it's pretty obvious what it is. Esp if it's something easily recognizable as marshall cabs/heads then they don't bother to cover their orange gear or hiwatt stuff. At least if you are going to do that shit... all or nothing.

I have always had a soft spot for altered 'marshall' amp badges, though.

I'm going to start incorporating poncy into my daily vocabulary.
New Pallbearer impressed me. I liked the last album, but never really got into it. This has a lot of similarities, but I like it more at first listen for whatever reason (time will tell how much of that is just novelty). New YOB is rad as shit. Makes me want to listen to them more and buy a Quantum Mystic.

My personal favorite is harMs all, but I've always meant to make my cab just say Mars.

twice ive had randall cabs on Clist for under 100$ (one was even that 2x12+15 cab) and they didn't move for months.
I took them down, altered the badges to say "anal" relisted @ 200$ fuckers both sold same day.
if I ever get a bogner you bet your ass same day its gonna be made to say boner.
