I actually fucking love my 30's. I am more prepared to deal with the BS of life, I am better at my job, better at parenting, better at cooking, the sex is better...
I wouldn't go back to my early 20's for ANYTHING.
Fuck yeah, all of this.
My only issue with the whole turning 30 thing was basically its hard to tell if you're getting more bitter and jaded as you age, or if youve actually figured out what is what and you no longer have room to accommodate people's bullshit (which you have also become expert at spotting a mile away) because you realise that its ruining not onrly your life, but the lives of everyone on the planet.
Cut your bullshit, people.

Oh yeah, so much this. The older you get, the less tolerance you have for other people's pointless drama and trauma. That especially applies to people who would rather constantly whine about their problems than actually solve them. If that's jaded, than color me jade.

Canada Post have once again updated my online tracking to say "Notice left" but have not left a notice. No idea how they're this consistently useless.

That would explain a lot, actually.

Over a year after relocating from ME to CT, I'm finding that, while there are more worthwhile job opportunities in my field, it is damn near impossible to actually secure employment. I've been at this for 3 solid months since I left my last position, which is longer than it took to first land a job after grad school 12 years ago.
A temp agency has proven to be a dead end, and I'm starting to loose count of applications, interviews, networking efforts, and the number of daily hours invested in seemingly pointless job search activities.
The financial picture is still far from grim, but this experience has left me feeling defeated and questioning the value of both higher education and continuing to reside in CT ... though I'm not sure if other states, countries, etc. are any better at the moment.
