I like where your head is Skip, cheap old crap lol. I was cruising ebay and reverb for used distortion pedals under $50. I was thinking about trying out a Boss ODB-3 on guitar, King Buzzo style.

thanks!!! I've been pondering a cheap as possible crusty / grindy rig lately and was considering using an old death metal as my dirt. Now I'm thinking revelation superlead > bugera 6260 (5150 clone thats dirt cheap) > $100 peavey 4x12. My new bands guitarist has been using my revelation into his 6505+ and its fucking beastly.

I've got so many decent pedal platforms, I can make almost anything work. The clean NMV channel on the Carvin works great for almost everything I've tried, I have the Dunwich preamp and my Crest poweramp and I have a couple Tech 21 character series preamp pedals too. It will be interesting to try some really gnarly sounding cheap pedals into Mr. Grumpy eventually too lol.

HAHAHA we should both do demo videos of the cheapest most considered to be shitty pedals we can find into our Dunwich's.

I'd definitely do it. I was just having a conversation with someone last weekend about how I only like two kinds of gear...boutique and old crap.
