Dudes, need a small, affordable, preferrably tube amp for bedroom jamz. Epi Valve Junior? Blackstar HT 1? Micro Terror + cab? Other? Need it to be $150 or less.

Just let me know dates and locations. We'll make some magic happen. :) I also know several cool venue owners in East Tennessee, so I could probably help with that. HOLLA!

Damn auto correct. We've got two routes mapped out... one goes up north to Chattanooga and the other goes south to Florida. Not sure which way we are going yet. I hit up a few people in Chattanooga about a show at JJ's Bohemia or Sluggos. Hopefully we can get something up there cause that city is rad and I can't wait to get back up there again. We MAY end up doing a few of the dates with Crawl in Florida if schedules work out. That would rule cause Eric has one of the best live guitar tones (LSTR > VTM). Either way, I can't wait to tour again, even if it is only a weekend run.

Sleep was amazing -- my friend and I got stuck in traffic for four hours on the way down and got to the venue just as Heavy Blanket +Earthless finished. I know I live in Vacationland but fuck tourists and their shitty scheduling. :(

I also missed the merch booth entirely, since we wound up getting in maybe 20 minutes before Sleep. Sorry to international bros, but no goodies to be shipped out. Met up with Jfrey, possible Dunwich Nick sighting very briefly at the end of the night, I think: (Reps for Satan shirt?) but didn't have time to process it beyond an 'oh....hey, I talk to that dude on the internet' because I was well and truly baked, which was really the only thing that made the House of Blues tolerable in any way shape or form. Did not see Summit, and that was sad.

Antartican's Thawed is still gnarly, and I want a studio version.
Setlist went something like:
Sonic Titan
From Beyond
Holy Mountain
Dopesmoker (the Proceeds The Weedian bit)
Aquarian
The Clarity
Anatarticans
Dragonaut
The Second Part of Dopesmoker -- with the solo (the cultivator bit)

Pretty sure they put in a bit of Nain's Baptism somewhere, too. I think between From Beyond + Holy Mountain, but that could've been the 'quiet' bit of Holy Mountain, since it's all in C anyway. Again, delightfully stoned. Band is still the best. This is another song about marijuana indeed.

Yes Reps For Satan shirt and we (group I was with) also showed up at the end of the earthless set (fucking snooze fest, sorry if that is rude but it was boring). One of the dudes I was with got his pipe taken by security and never returned. I was with TJ and Paul and one other guy for the most of the night. Fucking stupid mosh pit had to open up near me, kinda killed the vibe because I had to keep one eye on the pit to avoid some fucking idiot hitting me. Forgot to bring my plugs in so my ears got a bit tired at the end of Antarctican's Thawed and I was ready to go home (note I had to drive both ways in my car)

Since we got their kind of late I didnt have a chance to meet or greet any ILF friends or even people I know who were going to show from the area. I also had to drive everyone home so I couldnt even hang around and get back stage. Tom from Sea of Bones was backstage and could have gotten me in after the show ended but I couldnt hang around since I was everyones ride home.

Pike's rig was 2 JMP/early 800s and 1 horizontal later 800 all through a bunch of marshall cabs (likely a rental rig). I was too far away to see any kind of pedal board. Al had 3 SVTs, 2 CLs and 1 VR and also 1 Marshall jmp or 800. He has in the past used a guitar amp in his mix for the distorted/overdriven bass tone.

Overall it sounded not bad but it wasnt blowing me away (gear wise), Pike was a little sloppy on the first song. Seemed a bit stiff at times.

Yeah dude, I was on driver duty too -- that was a long, tired ride back. The denim vest contingent was pretty well represented, for sure, which is a nice way to say that fucking dipshit heshers are annoying as hell (although there were some other bevested folks that I knew who were always a welcome sight). Also, fuck $6 for a PBR.
Def. a rental rig, btw -- that seems to be the Om/Sleep M.O., although High on Fire seem to tour in long enough stretches to bring out their own gear.

This looks intriguing...not sure if it's a Laney in a box or a treble booster of some sort, but I'll be sure
to try it out at some point.
