Is that a teaser image from them or something? I'm interested, they make some pretty cool pedals. They do pretty well with the "sound in a box" style pedals. If it's just a treble booster into a Laney sound, they could probably get away with using slight variations on circuits they already have pretty easily.

Last weekend fucking slayed.
YOB

ACID KING!

Witch Mountain. Sad that Uta is leaving the band. Glad I got to see here second to last show with them.

Holy Grove. These guys just have killer riffs.

There were a bunch of other bands, but these were the highlights for me.

Kind of hilarious that all those bands probably played through the same backline (Hovercraft, go figure) and still probably sounded exactly like them, despite the fact that it's a fest promoted by a company that makes most of its money plying the "your amp totally matters dude" trade.
Which is really just me being angry because fuck you I want to see Acid King.

Just let me know dates and locations. We'll make some magic happen.

I also know several cool venue owners in East Tennessee, so I could probably help with that. HOLLA!
Damn auto correct.

We've got two routes mapped out... one goes up north to Chattanooga and the other goes south to Florida. Not sure which way we are going yet. I hit up a few people in Chattanooga about a show at JJ's Bohemia or Sluggos. Hopefully we can get something up there cause that city is rad and I can't wait to get back up there again. We MAY end up doing a few of the dates with Crawl in Florida if schedules work out. That would rule cause Eric has one of the best live guitar tones (LSTR > VTM). Either way, I can't wait to tour again, even if it is only a weekend run.
My birthday is in December. Much ruckus would be brought, sir.

I'm seeing Deep Purple friday.
Also bought a cheap Dean LP for 60 bucks total with shipping cause I just threw out a retard bid

. I'll probably thrash it around live it sounds decent, I doubt it'll be too bad, haven't played a Dean I didn't like.

Oh my god, I'm excited for sleep. The gig sounds like it was a blast.
I know what Hesher means, but where does the term come from?

I think they had a choice of the whole Hovercraft line. Some of the bands still opted to use their own gear. You're right though. Lori still sounded like lori, Mike sounded like Mike, Etc.. Everything sounded good for sure though.
My take on fancy amps is that they are not needed, but sure can expedite getting the sounds you want dialed in. (If they are the appropriate amp for that sound)

What's the best hovercraft for my specific sub-sub-genre of doom?

I still want a Hovercraft, though.

I just bought a treble boost so it's probably one of those. A better version.

Presence, volume, gain and I can't read the other one.

Some amp talk.
I own a Valve Jr. and although I am normally a big fan of my own gear in this case that amp is no good for bedroom/living room volumes. Into a V30 cab at high (ish) volumes it sounds great. At pedal platform levels it's too dark sounding in my opinion.
More amp talk.
I have a Hovercraft and I dig it a lot. I like it better than my 800 and the YBA-1 I tried and my Music Man. It's just a good, thick sounding amp whatever it's origins. Next time I'd rather get a build using USA parts but whatever. A Mike Scheidt endorsement ain't to shabby either.
