I know you got your own idea, but I really want one that's a consolidated MF-104M delay side with the reverb side of a Boss RE-20.....

IMAGINE THE TOANZ!!!!!!

I kept watching that like she was gonna take off her top at some point...but nope...she just keeps making that same dumb face.

You, me and the rest of the Internet, brother.

ShaolinLambKiller wrote:I like watching Jenny Marbles... she's actually pretty funny regardless of what she looks like. What's also funny is she has some degree in I think sociology or something. either way she's educated but supports herself doing those goofy videos and whatever. My wife showed her shit to me.

tried out the Trace Elliot today just briefly. tone is great, just not super loud which I kinda expected. but I need to mess with it more, all I did was dime the vol and gain, and actually left everything else on 0. still sounded great.

Yeah, she's pretty smart and clued in. Fit as fuck, too. I've been watching her since 2011 and always enjoy her videos.

t-rey wrote:Any of you dudes used the 'boost post' or 'promote page' shit on facebook?

I'm going to be running a sale on my ebook (ONLY 0.99, HOLY FUCKING SHIT THAT'S A BARGAIN) starting tomorrow and was considering throwing down a meager amount of cash to try and get the post as visible as I can - which should theoretically be pretty easy to get a return on that if a small percentage of those who see it waste a dollar on my shit.

So yeah - words of advice about that?

I've also started my slow and deliberate campaign of bothering Gary Busey on Twitter about reading it for the audiobook. Best case scenario? He doesn't read it, but I get to be directly involved in a full on Gary Busey incident.

I know of some people who use the service. It helps their business, which is a fitness gym.

Gary Busey, eh? Sounds hilarious

After some thought (and realizing that my royalties dropped with the promotional price) I'm no longer as keen on the idea. I may throw $10 at it and see what it does - which puts it in front of like 5-10k people if their shit can be believed.

And are you sure you want a Busey incident?

R. Lee Emery is a solid fucking choice. And yes, I am 100% certain I want to be a part of a Busey.

I don't even know what the fuck to do about that.

odontophobia wrote:If Gary Busey won't do it for you then I will. Just a last name swap is all. From one Gary to another, ya know.

YES. This also brings up an interesting idea. The book is all essays, so a bunch of people could record their favorite one and then compile it. WE WILL ALL GET RICH. Like cocaine and two fancy prostitutes for breakfast rich.

Or I could just find a bunch of people named Gary to do it.

Probably the best idea I've heard in months.

Yeah, I've read a similar article that suggested that facebook itself is controlling dormant and/or fake accounts to like things when you promote your page. I was hoping that 'boosting' a single post might be a more effective and worthwhile thing. If I do pull the trigger on that, I will let everyone know how it goes.

So far the post has been shared a few times (everyone feel free to go ahead and do that) and it has been seen by like 650 people, which isn't bad at all on it's own.

I saw Matt play a High On Fire set in April in northwest Indiana. The show was outside. It was very fucking cold. So cold that I didn't want to hold a beer and I smoked cigarettes without using my hands.

He wore a long sleeve tee shirt and a knit cab alongside his signature jeans and cross trainers, that's his thing these days.

He also had a giant ass mug of hot tea that he occasionally drank and used to keep his hands warm.

In other news I'm missing Southwest Terrorfest because airline tickets are expensive as shit. Inner me is crying like a small child being denied ice cream.

Just saw Windhand in Austin at Red 7.

Somehow it's sonically the best I've EVER seen them (albeit this only being the third time) even though they were using 2203 800's versus the Matamps. I guess they didn't want them to see any true wear on the road. I tried to see what all they were using on the board... could only spot a Boss tuner, DD3, and some unnamed rather small fuzz that was completely black. Bummed I didn't get to ask.

As far as bass Parker was running a (I think) Reissue V4-B and an old 300 watt SVT. All I can really contribute, but I felt it was noteworthy.

If they are playing near you soon, please fucking go. I love Dead Meadows and couldn't even give a shit about them after Windhand.

Hey! Any of you guys been to SXSW? If so, what did you think?

For that matter, Anyone been to any other cool music fests that they really dug?

The only music fest thingy I have been to lately, has been the Hovercraft thing in Portland. That was pretty cool. Got to see a good bit of music. I spent a lot of energy trying to stay out of the brutal sun, but I still had a good time hugging the shade where I could find it. The Maryland deathfest seems like it could be cool. Hellfest seems like it would be AWESOME, but it is a bit of a jaunt off the beaten path, being in France and all.
