Ya gotta do right by the pooches.
Incidentally, one of the guitarists For UA was using two very small, very old amps in stereo and it sounded pretty killer. I thought a little quiet but that's on the sound guy the way they were running their gear.
They should have had Warlocks open for them though...

I imagine some ILD Bros may be willing to buy some things on conditions that if they ever sell you get first dibs.
But I think your pups will be happy with the outcome. I'm sure all those little pibbles want to run around chewing on one another and the extra space will encourage their awesome behavior. :P

Fuckin right about that last part! I'm pretty sure those amps weren't old or anything. One looked like a Blues Jr and the other looked like some sort of recent tweed clone. Deluxe maybe? I stood dead center about 2/3 of the way back so obviously I was hearing no amps but they sure did sound fucking BRILLIANT through the PA. Damn that shit sounded good.

I used to collect arcade cabinets. One day I decided I'd rather be able to lay in a straight line on my own carpeted living room floor so I up and sold it all. It was/is the best feeling. Because of that I've been able to keep music gear hoarding relatively sane. I never want to go back to being crowded out of my own space by the crap I own. Books and records are still kinda tough though...

I'm gearing up for a move in the nearish future and just the idea of moving all my books is daunting as hell.

Also, I know some of you dig Lord Mantis and Today Is The Day... are they worth checking out live?

Every time I think "I should buy a full stack today", I tell myself that in less than a year I will be moving and that buying huge music gear is a stupid idea. It's a constant battle.

Whiskey - sorry to hear about the anxiety, but cool to hear it's resolving itself in a productive way. Can't wait to see the fucking pedal binge you go on...
Ax and D - super jelly about your visit with the good Uncle. I actually read that all of their shit (or at least up through Blood Lust was all small-ish tweed amps and fuzz).
re: volume. I can't remember the last time I plugged into an amp. I has the sads.
