Man...learning that only aussies refer to thongs as something fir the feet was a lesson learnt the hard way for me...i went to clothing shop (only a few weeks after moving to London) to buy some beach attire for the upcoming weekend away, and i need some appropriate footwear...so i approach the nice lady at the counter and asked he where they keep their thongs, as i couldn't find them on the floor...she contained her smile, not very well, and pointed towards the ladies section of shop next to the bikini section.

Luckily my wife was looking at bikini's so i didn't look that bad when i went to the section...
