Those on Facebook probably know but Athon from Black Tusk got in a motorcycle accident on Friday. Unfortunately, he passed away today. Awful. He was a really great person.

Ugh, awful news about Athon. Such a fun, energetic stage presence. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Found out about Athon while out with friends last night who I don't get to see very often. Made sure I gave each of em a big hug. Sad day for sure.

I worked a bad wreck involving a motorcycle being hit head on by a Toyota Tacoma (the driver left the scene and hasn't been found yet) the same day Athon had his accident. I knew our guy wasn't going to make it (they took him off life support last night). I never really talked to Athon other than saying hi when I'd see him at shows in Savannah around the time just before they started playing out. He always seemed nice. He was 32 and the guy I had was 2 weeks away from turning 30 and has 3 kids all under 7. Way too young to be leaving us. Reading the news they both were preventable. You guys be fucking careful out there.

just read this now...damn...that truly sucks, such a shame at such a young age. condolences go out to all his family and friends during the tought times.

and Conky, I can't imagine how hard your work is on a daily basis dude...you guys are the angels of the world.
