Thanks man

I do, but at the same time I've done a 3 days a week practice schedule playing 2-3 shows a month and pulled it off (as in still working full time, paying all the bills, getting the kids to school on time, etc), so its not me that can't handle it. That's what pisses me off. Shit just a month ago we were still doing Nanshe actively once a week..... I could rant for hours at this point but I won't.

Sorry to hear that, dude. If it's the band I'm thinking of, and I think it is, then that's a double-bummer.

In debbie downer news, I think I accidentally brought some fleas with me back home for the holidays. SO MUCH FUCKING VACUUMING AND LAUNDRY.

Skip, send me your excess jams. Are those transferable across state lines?

On a serious note though, hope you sort out your relationship and band time issues for the best.

They might be transferable across one or two state lines, but 18 might be a stretch

Thanks man, we go through this alot, more than I really wish. My faith of fixing it dwindles every time but I'm not one to give up easily.

It was. Double-bummer confirmed.

Family's probably more important than loud noises most days of the week, though.

For anyone who doesn't know:

They sent me some gear porn and a copy of their record back when I was running the Doperigs site.
Super nice guys. Band is fucking awesome. For fans of Grief and early/mid Neurosis.

Thanks Sam, and this is worth fixing... I'm trying my hardest without fully compromising who I am. Which isn't easy especially when the other party refuses to compromise at all and or budge on anything.

It is, absolutely with out a doubt. Which is why I passed on the opportunity, it just really really sucks missing unique opportunities in life.

Yup, and thats their older music the newer stuff is even better, darker bleaker and heavier.

Yup, and exactly!!! It would be nice to finally be in a band with fellow gear heads like myself.... with rigs that make mine look small hahaha

I've heard it can be real tough after a baby is born. My parents had been the worst together for years, but it wasn't until they had their fourth child—by accident—that things turned hairy. A few months after she was born, mum and three of the kids, including myself, left. It was a mess. So much better now. I'm not saying that separating is a good thing or that I condone it—I don't—but after a kid is born it can be a real challenge to stay calm, selfless and communicative. Mad shit happens that you would not expect. And much of the time the persons involved regret it later in life. They realise their stubbornness or selfishness was out of line and they wish they could go back and try to act more appropriately.

Keep at it, mate. Unless there are serious issues like physical or emotional abuse, it's almost always worth the patience and diligence, especially with the youngens in mind.

Sam, maybe you could let the dudes know that you're travelling in 3 months and that it would be fun to just blast it out until then. Then no one would have any preconceived notions as to what the future entails and it's only for fun, association and experience.

Updated the HM2 kit page, moving that project forward a bit. May do a larger order of PCBs soon.

It was only a matter of time till one of us got fleas........ Great, now we all need collars.

man, that's harsh skip. We were just talking about that sort of thing the other day. I'm lucky as my wife has her own crazy obsessions and as long as I'm ok with her taking off for the weekend to run some death race over mt ranier or whatever, I get to do music. I'm not sure how she would be about me wanting to do it full time though. I've got the two band thing going on right now and anything over that would kinda cross that threshold. I have no idea how you mange it man. You have a lot more on your plate than I do for sure!

HM2!

HA!

Well that's the thing, you stepped right on the main issue. I'm not gonna go into it, but she doesn't have anything outside of the house to get away too, and pretty much flat out refuses to find something she enjoys or to hang out with friends.
