finally getting the amp build going
Nice. Are you doing a 150w version of your 120 or something else? I know the trannies you posted were Model T spec... So I'm guessing it's gonna be a little different than your standard.

quad of 88s in UL. Williamson phase inverter (OrMat 200, SVT, many older hi-fi stuff), GT preamp. Mostly for clean headroom and max output. 150W or so. T iron yes

Awesome! I just put in a set of 88's and re-capped the Model T. Definitely made a difference in headroom. Looking forward to seeing how your build turns out. I've been thinking of rebuilding my Sound City to a GT preamp since I have to replace a bunch of parts inside. I don't know if I'm up for the rebuild challenge though

Hope so. I will put it up against my Whetstone. Hope it wins because then I can sell the whetstone, buy an Arrows or Quantum Mystic and only be out a little bit of cash.

Love my Whetstone. Don't think I'll ever be able to part with it... but I just love that slow as dripping honey pad-phaser. Woof. Beautiful man.
Also:
bought that new Worship. Excited to jam it all. I try to support the doom bros when I can.

Excited to hear all the upcoming brobanddoom about!
In the future, I may be retubing the powersection of my second AOR, which for some crazy reason had 6550s in it when I bought it. I'm pretty sure it's still setup for 100W, but I also think I want to keep running it with something other than EL34s. Does anyone have any noticeable comparison between 6550s and KT88s? I might try the latter out anyway, just to see if I like them, but I am still curious.

Today was a great day. I have a Laney Protube Lead 100 on the way and got put on the waiting list for Hex Cab's Micro T.

I have no need for a Micro T but goddamn if those don't look fucking gorgeous.

I second this notion.

ran across a dude i know who's selling one of my dream guitars today. fuck, it's so awesome. a black guild s-300d in amazing condition. i would fucking kill to get this thing, but i just don't have the money and i really don't want to sell anything i have. even if i did i still wouldn't be able to afford it cause most all of my gear right now is unsellable absolutely crucial stuff and my money is totally wiped out from the holiday shit show.

Still have two kidneys?
Stoked to see nicks amp take shape.
Chiller, I needs to set aside quality listening time. Group buy vinyl is something I would be down to get in on. Killer cover art!

Could you give him a holding payment and pay it off in installments? A mate would understand right?
I need to go through and listen to everyone's new tunes, I've fallen behind and missed days of pages with my eye. Did you guys all put links to stuff in the band thread? That would make the task a little less monumental.
I've prepped my rig for sale. It felt pretty good actually. I did sneak my dirge multiplex back on there though (yes, that was on the chopping block), not so sure if I'm still going to offload it. It may go into the "only if absolutely fucking desperate" category.
My appointment with the specialist who'll decide when and how surgery takes place is next Tuesday. Expect me to spam you guys then.
There were a few things I was going to take to the bay to get top dollar for but, I dunno, that place really pisses me off now.
I have decided when its rebuild mode, there will be bass amps, and there will be slaves and cabs.
I'm actually kinda done with pedals....for now.
