Has anyone replaced the bypass footswitch on your CT5? Hoping it's just a dirty contact, but also think mine might be starting to fail after nearly 5 years.

we will hopefully have some in about 1 month.

the last stock sold i believe around mid December. We have basically been shut down since due to covid Guidelines/work from home measures but should be beginning to ramp back up around the end of march pending some relaxation of things due to vaccine rollout.

Hey folks, apologies if this is a repeat.

Just grabbed one of the new Count to Fives because I thought I'd like a rad new white one, but the behaviour of mode 3 is notably different. Just reloaded the firmware but didn't change anything. Can't find anything in the manual, so wondering if it's a secret reboot setting?

Old behaviour: creating a new loop in mode 3 that extends past 8 seconds, Ct5 is silent until you release the switch, then the harmonized loop snaps in in all its glory.

New behaviour: creating a new loop in mode 3 that extends past 8 seconds, Ct5 is silent until you pass the 8 second mark, then it begins playback of the loop as same octave forward until you release and then the harmonized loop snaps in in all its glory.

This is cool behaviour for knowing end of loop and timing and punch in / out points ... but not really what I use Ct5 for and sort of messes with the element of surprise. My first instinct was to just sell the white one and keep my green one, but I do like the white finish ... so is there any way to get the old behaviour back that anyone knows? It would actually be ideal if this could be toggled on/off in a reboot setting.

I just tested this on my trusty old blue CT5, and it works in the "old" way. Which is what I remembered, but I hadn't used the "play beyond 8 seconds" feature in a while.

Looking at the firmware download page, I see that there's been PCB revision I wasn't aware of before. Your white CT5 must have this new Rev M board with the 0.97k firmware. If I had to guess, I'd say that Mode 3's behavior was changed in the 0.97k firmware; unless I'm misunderstanding the firmware download page, earlier firmware versions won't work with Rev M boards. But this could be considered a bug, and maybe Scott will correct it in a future firmware.

Does anyone know what changes have been made to the PCB in Rev M? I'm a little surprised this hasn't been mentioned before, but these forums have been pretty dead lately. Maybe I missed something. In the meantime, I'm going to keep the 0.963k firmware on mine.

Good sleuthing! Just looked at my green Ct5 and it’s a rev l board, so confirmed that it’s 0.963k with the old behavior.

Looks like this is a feature / bug introduced in 0.97, and currently locked in for the new rev m boards.

Maybe @multi_s can confirm?
