Correct, although the GB24 is decidedly more low-fi than the Ct5, and the expression outlet can only control one preset parameter.
Super easy to use, one button for record / layer and another for play / stop and it retains the loop unless you stop it and then hit record again, so you can stop it and then hit play again and it plays the last loop you had. As far as sound on sound are you referring to recording multiple layers on top of each other? If so yes it does. The only thing to note is it likes a hot signal other wise the loops can end up rather quiet.BoatRich wrote:From what I understand the GB24 is just the first mode of the CT5? Or is there a sound/quality difference? Also, is anyone using theirs as a straight up looper? Because I love my ditto but it's essentially useless to me in a band setting out of the reverse mode and I feel like something weirder that can still function as a regular loop might be more up my alley.D.o.S. wrote:I have one on the way also, as well as a Goodbye 24 that's been in regular rotation for about a year. Really cool circuit, and the Ct5 seems like a great upgrade.
EDIT: Maybe I should just get a Headrush? Skip, yours always sounded awesome, how intuitive was the looper? Also does it do the sound on sound thing?
Dude I'm gonna have to! It definitely sounds like a better option for me than the ditto. I meant like tape delay style sound on sound, where it just a phrase delayed by a significant enough time to sound like a quick looped section. (I know the DD20 can do it, and there was a thread on it last week somewhere)Ancient Astronaught wrote:Super easy to use, one button for record / layer and another for play / stop and it retains the loop unless you stop it and then hit record again, so you can stop it and then hit play again and it plays the last loop you had. Your welcome to stop by and check it out!
That'd be awesome, thanks dude!Ancient Astronaught wrote:I believe that it can do stuff like that, I'll have to try it out tonight and get back to you.
No prob man!!!!BoatRich wrote:That'd be awesome, thanks dude!Ancient Astronaught wrote:I believe that it can do stuff like that, I'll have to try it out tonight and get back to you.
I'm getting one regardless at this point. I want that thing way too much. Even if I hate it, I can resell it pretty much right awayD.o.S. wrote:I was going to sa I would not recommend getting the Ct5 if you're looking to replace your looper.
But then I thought about how much more fun the world would be if people had Ct5's instead of 'normal' loopers. So you should still get one.
best job ever!!!misterstomach wrote:in completely unrelated news, i just applied for the world's strangest job. writing online dating profiles for rich men who can't or don't want to do their own. the job also includes actually corresponding through email with women as though you are the actual dude in order to try to get them a date. i can't believe it's even real. it's kind of against my ethics, since it's so dishonest, but it's just so weird i wanted to see what it's all about. and i'm unemployed and bored. and i figure, women who are trying to hook up with rich men on the internet should be expecting that they're dishonest assholes anyway, so what's the harm? i'm not going to get the job anyway.
