I know what you mean man...hard to come by. There are a few on that fretboard...whome ive dealt with and are really cool. For example, for pedals i always go to Juansolo...his a great dude too.

But outside the forum, yeah too many people trying to make a living and its hard so their passion disappears a bit

Ah shit, when I posted last, I was on mobile and missed that critical info about Indian breaking up.
That sucks, Will.
You guys were radness.

But, as others have said, I'm sure you'll be back with more radness.

Shit...i got caught up in the PRS news and forgot to say...thats a bummer about Indian man. I was late to the party but really enjoying the new album. But hopefully you land into another project when youre ready and it will be even better...there is way too much talent there for nothing to come of it dude.

Kinda weird. The band was the only reason I moved to Chicago. Not sure what I'm gonna do now.
You're moving to ATL. duh.

This. Or Chattanooga so you can start a band with Mark.

AngryGoldfish wrote:Oh NICE!!! Congrats, Clifton on the new guitar. There is a red for sale on another forum in the UK that I'd like to give a whirl, but I can't afford it.

I kinda prefer this one, though:

I like the Starlas, too.

This is freakin awesome NGD! Its beautiful, like you say just enough flame without being overbearing but very classy overall.

PRS necks are great, there's some kind of secret sauce with their necks. I've never played one that didnt feel amazing, right through the range, they just do it right. Design wise and feel wise i've always though they are perfect...and makes sense as PRS started out by trying to build the best in-between-fender-and-gibson-guitar; taking the best from both camps...and they nailed it. One the pickups side, thats where they always fall down for me. To my ears, what ever secret sauce they have for construction, they dont have it for pickups. But thats an easy fix, and relatively cheap.

Happy NGD Conky QC!

Yeah, I'd say its a Gibson Fender blend for sure. Still haven't got to crank it but I'm sure I'll end up putting the Black Winter in it anyway.

If you end up swapping them out and need a buyer post it on here.

I also want to see this.

On an unrelated to today aside:

Got to meet Christian and Will last night. Not much time to talk as a showed up basically right as Whores had to setup. Will ran Whores mercy so as they were breaking down I chatted him up a bit more. Nicest guy. Had a sweet Alice Cooper shirt. Wanted to anecdotally tell him about the time Alice Cooper was my first concert. Didn't have the opportunity. Failed to say goodbye to Christian because my wife called me twice in a row and I was wondering wtf would she call me for because it was already 1 a.m. in Michigan and my wife crashes way early.

MIDWEST MINI DOOM ROOM MEETUP

Anyway.
Fucking hell. Whores was great. Can't believe the amount of energy those guys have. Seem to be having the fucking best time in the world when they're up there. And CHRIST ALMIGHTY. That Esquire sounds heavy as all fuck. Moral of the story -- go see Whores when they come through your hood.

as I thought it would be so that is good. I like a slightly figured plain top and this is just about there for me. I got this for about half of what they usually run so I figured it'd be an easy flip if I didn't like it but I think this one will be a keeper.

Really nice looking guitar.

Yeah dude. I was completely unprepared for how loud and heavy it was going to be the first time I saw them. I cite Whores. every time I hear someone give ye olde 'muffs get lost in a mix' argument.

Holy shit I suck at keeping up with this thread. Life has been preventing me from enjoying anything lately but at least things seem to be on an upswing.

t-rey wrote:Good shit, my dude. Looking forward to hearing the whole album. Is that a Bassman back there? You running any kind of dirt or is that a cranked and boosted Bassman?

Yeah. I unfortunately sold one of my cabs, my Ampeg V2, and my Jagmaster, when I lost my job. Had to fund life and more importantly my solo art show. Frames ain't cheap. I picked up the bassman and it rules. At this show I was running a Zvex Fat Fuzz Factory into an MXR CAE 401 boost. I just took the Zvex off the board though for a good old fashioned NYC Big Muff, though. I needed something simpler. I was at one point using a Silicon Fuzz Face but it just didn't have the oomph I was looking for. The Muff is working for now but who knows how long it'll last. I'm too damn picky.

Whats the story with the hollow?

It's just a stock gretsch Electromatic 5420. I've been using them off and on for a very long time. They're a pain in the ass, but worth it.

Also, I hate admitting that PRS guitars play and sound good, because they are total bro rock guitars. They do put out high quality shit, though.

I have it on good authority that Will has something amazing brewing.
