So cool news, I plugged the amp in and it fires up! A little bit noisey, but nothing some pot cleaner can't take care of. Even better news, this thing actually sounds pretty damn good. I wasn't able to crank it, seeing as its close to midnight and the speaker cab was farting out somewhere around 1 o clock, so it seems like 240 watts may be totally doable with it.
The bad news is that this thing heats up and FAST. Five minutes of playing and that heatsink is too hot to touch. Any ideas on that?

I just saw the heaviest, doomiest band ever at a local dive. The Highest Leviathan, single baritone guitarist with 4 amps pushing 2 monster cabs (each 2x12 + 1x15). shit ton of low gain dirt and delay stacking. Drummer and vocalist. Unreal impact. The guitarist lurks here but doesn't post much. They just recorded a new album which will be out sometime this year. Super stoked.

fuck you pieces of shit. it's a rental house so while I've lived here I've had quite a few idiots behind me, but it seems every time a mexican family moves in they decide sat is party day cause every single time the house was rented to a family of them... every other sat they do this shit and I have to call the cops on them. I leave it be till 10pm and then at that point it's fucking over. It's all in my power not to go outside and just start shooting.
I don't really think the loud techno is the real issue. You just hate people for existing in the first place

I gottatighten my shit up before we go on tour Wed. Mike's playing and tone were flawless and just left me feeling like a complete fucking noob.

I know that feeling, Conk. Better that than to go total Dunning Kruger, though.

Saw Shrine of the Serpent this weekend. Pretty fucking heavy for a doom band with 2 guitars and no bass. Member of Aldebaran in the fold.
