Also, in slightly lamer news, I saw this in the other half of ILF and figured it was pertinent info for people who post/lurk here exclusively:
insubordination wrote:I'll tell you what I have anti-GAS for: anything from Midnight Amplification Devices. Dude is deleting posts of dissatisfied buyers from his Shark Tank noting that:
- He takes about four months to send pedals with no communication, and makes excuses instead of just taking responsibility
- Pretty much only sends pedals once you have filed a Paypal dispute
- Lies about when he ships pedals
I guess the only good thing is that of the half dozen ILFers I've been in touch with, everyone gets their shit eventually, it's just like pulling teeth to even get a fucking response. So note that I'm not calling this dude a scam artist or ripoff, just stating he is not being transparent. And in the end who gives a shit, they're just pedals, right?
I don't know Nic personally, maybe he's a great guy in real life. But I think it's pretty disrespectful to take money from people then just leave them hanging, make excuses when called out, and offer them hollow gestures like a discount instead of just owning up to being overwhelmed with orders or whatever the case, while listing new pedals and promising a delivery time of two weeks when others have been waiting four months.
Maybe this is bad form and I am usually pretty drama-averse, but deleting posts of dissatisfied buyers is pretty weak.

That is lame. I was one who waited about 4 months for my Holy Mountain... I was getting pretty fed up with taking excuses about shipping or not replying at all to my inquiries... Like I said over in that thread, there's nothing wrong with waiting 4-5 months for a pedal if you tell the customer that is the wait time. I'm happy to wait that long (well, not "happy"

) for a Dunwich build, because I know that's what it's going to be, and I know it'll be worth the wait.

Yeah, a couple of mine did. The only one that's left is the one where I say how the Holy Mountain sounds good.

Yeah I think everyone here understands the grind of being in a small-operations/DIY situation, but fuck trying to obfuscate the warts.

On a side note, if anyone is interested in getting on a list of potential 1 knob preorders, PM me your email address and the pedal you are potentially interested in. Nothing locked in for anyone but im gathering the interested parties for that.

You are welcome ancient! Yea while I dig both I def think the orange has the most potiential to devestate.
I'm a fan of orange oranges. it just seems right anything else is just not right.
I might have to get a second one. I do have to say one thing about the cr120 I'm having problems with mine when I run it for extended periods in recording. When my beta lead died or whatever got fucked up since it isn't dead it just doesn't put out... the orange totally died out as well. But the next day it was fine. I didn't think anything about it for months. Now this weekend I was putting it through the paces with an Ampeg SS and the orange died/cut out totally again. I switched to the mosfet and finished my recording for that day. I'll see if it's fine today. but it seems that it's getting overheated or something just very weird. maybe it just doesn't like working with any other head.
I was wondering why wildebor hasn't been around posting cause he was always rather vocal about what he was doing. Makes sense that he lays low.
I can understand like everyone that gets overwhelmed or whatever cause i'm good for getting piled on with everything I'm doing.

Yeah. I think a lot of us have a million things going on at once. It's important to avoid Animal Farm-ing away the bad bits. IMO, YMMV.
Can't wait for my physical copy to get here in the mail:

That Orange and the Marshall Mosfet bost sound killer for gross grindy high gain tones, I would rock either one in the right context.
So excited to get me them Dunwich one knobbers to demo. If you guys have any kind of specific requests for things you want to hear, stacking configurations or whatnot, let me know and I'll try to include some.

I'm thinking of putting a new pickup in the neck position of my SG. The bridge is a Duncan Distortion. I already have Black Winters in my Epiphone, so I'm looking for something a tad different. What's good?
