It is of definite interest to us in here.
Check the Facebook.

Fuck you, Nick. Just take a kidney already.

Damn, some scruples. Glad I didn't pull the trigger on a sonic mayhem, the exchange rate and free shipping at the time made it a damn good deal, but wasn't happy with the response I got about whats going on inside the box.

Was also alarmed by the amount of pedals he was offering for a start up pedal builder. Seemed like he had 20+ pedal offerings from the get, whereas most builders focus on a few at a time.

For, reference, I was talking about Dunwich Nick (with a K).

Trying to move on with good news and all.

In retrospect, not a good time for sarcasm.

I can't wait to follow pope like I follow the rest of your asses. Especially his hairy ass.

So much happened since yesterday. Didn't fuzz since I worked an 11-hour day then hit up pizza and beer before bed. Sitting here with my morning coffee, contemplating band practice this evening. Thinking once again about Railhammer Gnarly 90's. Think I'm gonna get one ordered. I'll be sure to check in and try to do some sort of recording if I do get one.

Pumped to see/hear that the Flux full length is done. I'm sure it will be rad.

The whole Midnight Amplification fiasco: kudos to pope for assuming positive intent. That shit barely exists on the internet. I think this community felt pretty burned however because we're so supportive of one another, donating to tom, buying one each other's records, etc., that it's really shitty when something bad happens. Hopefully Nic does something because I think we all saw the potential there and while we would all understand a good portion of the audience here avoiding his gear I don't think any of us would wish him future ill-will if he can make good on what he needs to.

Also: fucking Dunwich. BONER ALERT.

Yes I added 1 more model to the 1 knob series, a 1 knob version of the DA120 to serve as the Overdrive model. Now it has all 4 dirt types to fill out the tonez

Fucking killin it man. I don't know which one I want the most. Does the OD have a tone trimmer or separate ones for bass and treble?

The thing that I don't think a lot of Doom Roomers/ILF-ers understand is how much traffic this site has the potential to generate as far as fresh content is concerned (and google loves fresh content from lots of users, even if the traffic draw is relatively marginal to somewhere like TGP). If you search "Midnight Amplification Holy Mountain" ILF is the second link below the main site. I don't appreciate being used as a publicity engine for a business that's doing a shitty job under any circumstances, but particularly not when it's all North Korean-style sunshine and rainbows on the subforum. Fuck that in the face.

I was super bummed about the Peavey news. Thankfully (?) the news had it 100% wrong. Either way it doesn't look great for my home state

Saw SLEEP, Primitive Man, and In the Company of Serpents on 4/19 (Sleep went on at midnight, so, y'know, 4/20 BRAH BLAZE IT). Sleep was fun (I left after 40 minutes, they played for nearly 2 hours), but P/M honestly blew 'em outta the water (IMO). Serpents crushed it too. Sleep played the first half or so of Dopesmoker, then the Clarity, and I left near the end of Dragonaut. Good times. :thumb:

Also, updated live rig:

Quantum Mystic into a v2 or v4 is my favorite tone I've ever found for the heavies. :!!!:

nice fucking rig.

I'm looking forward to seeing primitive man in a month and a half here as they're touring with Celeste. should be a real ripper.

killer rig up there. I can totally see PM stealing the show for me as well. they've crushed every single time I've seen em. speaking of rad shows, The Body and Full of Hell are coming through within a week or so. soo stoked for that.

anyone here heard of Oryx? awesome 2 piece doom/sludge neighbors that are relocating to denver soon. the guitarist rocks nothin but worshipper cabs at this point. has a fuckin MONSTROUS tone. if you're up there, definitely check em out when they roll through.

sorry I have both Symptom and shround of the heretic and I guess they can consider themselves that but I certainly don't because it's just simply death metal. S.D. i can see it being doomy but not full out like liars in wait or morpheous descends.

Look I don't want to get in some schematics war with you. I'm going to go on and say I honestly know all these bands and more that you have listed. cause with this pissing contest i'll end up drowning you, son. :idk:

Have you heard their newer stuff though? The album isn't out yet but I've seen Shroud of the Heretic twice in the last month with them playing only the new album. Thom was saying it was pretty death/doom. And Symptom is definitely death/doom as I just said, JT pretty much just recycles Anhedonist riffs.
Unless you're thinking of trad death/doom like my dying bride.
Not trying to be combative, but I actually hang out with these people at their shows as well as owning their vinyls. It's not not death/doom just because it isn't easily comparable to other bands that also call themselves death/doom.

And not to piss on your pissing contest, that is a great collection, but on my itunes I have 3457 albums... My physical collection is only comprised of albums I really enjoy and want to physically own.

well obviously I haven't heard new stuff it the album isn't out. it's not like they travel through new orleans area often. So that's fine if he says that it is but till I hear it they aren't. And you can say that all you wish I don't go by what yours or other's opinions are cause so many times it's incorrect.

And that's fine if you aren't trying to be combative but you are by dropping them names and insisting in what you view is or isn't. It won't change anything at all. It's like you said the sky is grey and I said it is blue and then you repeat over and over that it's grey as if it will make it grey.

And that's very nice 3400 digital albums is fine and dandy. I had 3400 physical albums when I was 23. I don't believe in digital anything. I don't support a band that only bothers putting out a digital album cause there is so much music in the world that if you aren't going to go through that extra step of pressing it I'm not going to go through that extra step of giving a shit. So when someone whips out how many gigs their music collection is or name how many albums they have on their computer I utterly laugh because I honestly don't view them as a serious collector or appreciator of the music. I'm not sorry for thinking that way because I honestly and deeply don't care aside from telling someone that so they might never think about saying it again.

It's all good lets just drop it like I said earlier but I don't like beer. So I guess we can fight about that.
