Yea, we'll see, the MIJ is (a) a truly hideous yellow, which endears it to me (b) has wiring and pickup options that make it absolutely mean with any octave fuzz with any overtones that are vicious- previous owner put a bucker in the bridge and added a middle pickup. It's a Mustang in name only, although it does do credible thin nasal Mustang neck pickup well.

But I wanted a traditionally wired one without wrecking the sometimes magic that is the yellow behemoth.

I went to the local guitar shop earlier in the hopes of trying (or buying) a VM Jag. Of course the one they had was in the warehouse and nobody could get it today.
But if it is anything like the VM Jazzy they had, it must be good. Wish the trem arm was a snap- or screw-in.
