Re: The Favorite Pedal of All Time Thread
I'll say it again. Toneczar Echoczar. Played it last night and was rock hard the whole time. No, not really, but in my mind I was...in my weiner's mind that is.
I'm also loving the shit out of the 2525.
I think this thread needs to be expanded. What's your favorite of EACH type of pedal.
I'll start.
Overdrive-Darkglass Vintage Deluxe
Distortion-Toneczar Openhaus 6 band tied with The Elements
Fuzz (hardest one evar)-Prescription Electronics Depth Charge (yes I regret. I do!!!! God damn it!!!!!)
Envelope Filter (they all suck equal LOL!)-Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe is my favorite by far though
Ring mod can suck me sideways
Tube OD (yea fuck you, I do what I want)-Metasonix TM5
Synthy Fuzz (again. See above sentence)-Darkglass Duality
Flanger-Boss BF-2. Nothing I've found can replace this guy.
Phaser-Toneczar Halophaze (seeing a trend here...)
Tremolo-Toneczar Powerglide
Delay-Toneczar Echoczar
Digital delay (yea they are different)-Boss DD500. After having time with both the Nemesis and DD500, the DD stomps the Nemesis dick in the dirt. I'm sorry, it does.
Multi FX-Eventide H9
Vibrato (LOL)- Amptweaker Swirlpool
What am I missing here???

Re: The Favorite Pedal of All Time Thread
Going to cheat.
The Space Echo isn't a pedal, it's a piece of furniture.
And the Boss GL-100 is a rackmount preamp, not a pedal.
And the Lexicon Vortex is....a rackmount antique.
That leaves...the one thing that nothing else I have in a few dozen effects will.
The Godbox Test Pattern from Hell. Spitting, nasty mean shortwave noises to respectable velcro fuzz and overdrive (not that I use it for that, ever)

Re: The Favorite Pedal of All Time Thread
My responses will probably change after trying new gear, but current picks are as follows (I no longer own most of these and am unable to narrow selections down to a single pedal in most cases):
Overdrive: Interfax Harmonic Percolator, Arion Tubulator, and Zoom Power Drive
Distortion: Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal (as emulated by the Boss GL-100 preamp) and Proco Rat
Fuzz: Roland Bee Baa, Ampeg Scrambler, Fender Blender, Univox Superfuzz, Burns Buzzaround, MKII Tonebender, and Ram's Head Big Muff clones, and the Zvex Fuzz Factory, Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom, Zoom Ultra Fuzz, DOD FX52 Classic Fuzz, and DOD FX76 Punkifier in no particular order ... and may include numerous, additional entries in the coming months
Synth: Tim Escobedo Uglyface and Digitech Bass Synth Wah (the latter of which may loose favor to the Digitech Dirty robot once I have a chance to try one)
Envelope Filter: a clone of the Maestro Sample/Hold Fliter I either tested as part of a tour box or briefly owned at one point (can't recall)
Compressor: Not really an effect I use anymore, but probably a toss up between the DOD FX-80B and Keely Compressor
Modulators: EHX Vib-Flange Clone Theory, big box Deluxe Electric Mistress, and original Small Stone
Bitcrusher/glitch: The Hotone Krush has proven to be the most useful option in its price range for now
Delay: Usually provided by multi effects processors in various incarnations of my rig, but I recall the TC Electronics Nova Delay being especially memorable
Reverb: Zoom MS-70 CDR, which may be replaced by a single-purpose pedal as my rig evolves in a more amplifier-oriented direction
Overdrive: Interfax Harmonic Percolator, Arion Tubulator, and Zoom Power Drive
Distortion: Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal (as emulated by the Boss GL-100 preamp) and Proco Rat

I'm interested in that thing. I know what the copy says about the mode switch, but what's it really doing?

Re: The Favorite Pedal of All Time Thread
I always come back to muff-based fuzzes. Don't own one right know, but I'm pretty sure I will buy a new one sooner or later.
But I also love the RM-1n, it just makes everything sound amazing.
The Pitchfactor is up there as well. I've had it for a year now and I'm still discovering new ways to use it.
Reverb: RM-1n
Dirt: Muff
Modulation: Moog MF-102 Ring Mod
Delay: RE-201 Space Echo
Wildcard/Multi: Pitchfactor
