Might fuck around and get an Alesis Q20, the Quadraverb's final form. I love my Wedge, but I do not love how much desktop space it takes up or its noise floor. Q20 should be basically the same, except minus the Ambience and Quad Pitch Shift algorithms (which both rule), and plus some other algorithms the Wedge doesn't have.

Quadraverb+ havers, do you like the Resonator algo? The Q20 only has a single pitch, whereas the Plus has 5 voices.

I have seen this ad for a soldano preamp every time ive looked at used shit. Getting more and more into building a butt-rack high gain thing

That could be an interesting rig. The Intellifex can do some pretty interesting multi-tap delay and chorus things. If anyone has one they should get MIDI-OX for their PC (I forgot the Mac alternative), the Roland or the M-Audio USB-MIDI dongle (skip the cheap off brand imported ones, they don’t work—I know), and the free preset pack from Analogkid85 that he linked at TGP and Reddit.

The intellifex was a real workhorse back in the day, wasn't it? Mstly just interested in the pre tho. I have enough rack multis for now and a 200w tube power amp is just silly

i probably dont need the preamp either. I should probably get a cab that projects more low end forward cause i have things that do gain! higain pres are neat tho. The mesa preamp that is like two mark channels look neat too

I have the Boogie Quad, the Mark IIC and Mark III in a box. Needs repairs, but not bad when working. (Need to see if Mike B is back at mods—I think I may be a candidate for a de-brightening mod that is often recommended.)

For the right price, I would happily add an SP-77. The Soldano crunch channel is underrated, and clean up for good clean-ish without mods, and better with some standard mods from the SLO.

Yeah the soldano sound is great! It's like instant mastodon. Beefy and chunky but not without too much low end to make it sound like crap
