interesting - what puts it in front for you ?

i've tried a bunch and pretty much liked them all - EQD Levitation, Mood Ring, Reverberation Machine, Beard Custom (super cool w/ FX loop built in), and the winner for me, category killer so far, RM1n, tho that may be as much the total package as the Belton piece :snax:

There are a few things for me. Pre-delay is less pronounced on it than others I’ve tried/heard. The preamp section is super nice, gives you a nice tone that can be clean and tube-like, or harsh and gritty. The overall character of the reverb and modulation is lovely, and the swell/oscillation function does not drop off super quickly once the footswitch is released. The RM1N always seemed awesome, but a bit gnarly for my purposes. The Kaleidoscope is a bit cleaner and sweet, but can get dirty and washy if you want it to.

Cool, thanks - I like the looks of the functionality. Seems like it might share some things with the Reverberation Machine tonally. Used prices seem pretty decent, too, if you're patient, and I've noticed that JPTR seems to run regular sales....

Patience is key with them. I would recommend checking if he has the pedals built before ordering. If he has them built, my experience is that you still end up waiting a month or more. If it’s a presale, then it’s kind of up in the air. QC can be a bit suspect, so be on the lookout for that if you do end up snagging something.

Wow, that Lefa sounds great! kind of straight to the point, easy to dial in, and great oscillation.
Has any Ilfer tried one yet?

This is the sort of thing I'd like to have for lap steel. So I impulse-ordered one.
^^^ HA ordered one. :snax:

I've only tried a few LEFA fuzz pedals so far. They all sound great.

I've been noodling with it in the chain for a couple days now. It's all right!

I'm probably an outlier in that my taste in reverb tends towards digital and entirely not subtle, so this was a bit mild for me at first. But when you crank it up it adds an appealing bit of background grit to everything. The momentary swells can get out of hand pretty quickly, but I think I found a sweet spot there. I'll try and record something with it soon.

Yeah, I don't think LEFA does anything subtle.

If it's a little mild on its own, it will certainly be able to handle being paired with something absolutely bonkers! :whoa:
