Corey — the online duty calculator I used came up with $35. However, I've also read that if the declared value is less than $2000 and it's not a "commercial" item, then there are no import duties at all. But I'll be sure to let ya know how it all shakes out.

That's the site I was checking out. I'll be interested to find out what it actually is. Or I'll just by something and hope for the best, because I'm a GASsy dufus.

These things.
After checking out the limited selection in my area I've pretty much decided that vintage Gibson is out of my price range and new Gibson is horrifically overpriced. The only real choice is black/gold custom or goldtop...

Love my butcher, It has this nice biting edge to it without being to harsh. Just started using it in Terrasone because the verellen needs tubes, I think it's actually going to live in that band and the verellen will get used in flux by the other guitarist.

Just saw this show up on YouTube.

Reminded me of this band from days of yore for some reason.

That Butcher looks just like my vtm minus the eq and gain dip switches. I have the vtm60 though. Been thinking about looking into thinking about maybe possibly getting the vtm120 or butcher for more headroom with the tonez I already love.
yea from what I was reading the VTM was the design prior to the butcher, basically a bit more stripped down though I also read louder and nastier so maybe I'll seek one of them out as well.
But I'm really glad my short list of must get vintage amps techincall as wrapped up. I mean I started a second list that isn't as important to get, more so as in if I get the price I want I'll snag it. But as the list I really wanted that was the final. It's oddly a relief.
AxAxSxS, very nice I'm really looking forward to giving mine a shot. I think I did pretty good on the price as well cause it was 400 shipped to me. I couldn't say no.
I really need to order that Reps for Satan shirt as well.

It's the opposite. The Butcher came first and the the VTM is a modified and juiced up version, with additional features and a bunch of dip switches to engage different gain and EQ boosts, plus some compression as well.

yep, corey has it. I prefer the butcher but similar and rad amps all around. I do the pedal dirt thing though. Extra gain stages - potential failure points in my view.
