This just came in tonight. Only had a bit to play around with it before practice, but fuck does it rip.

Thank you! Hell it's not even at my fastest, it's my average there. Tighteness is always an importance to me though haha Nothing wrong with stoner/doom I can room with that. And there are plenty of 'drummers' here that can't even do a good doom stomp.KaosCill8r wrote:Awesome drumming there ShaolinLambKiller.I could never play that fast or tight even if I took amphetamines. My drumming leans more towards stoner/doom tempos.
If I was there I'd be down for certain. hell I wish there were enough people here that would want to do this type of music so I can get back to focused totally on drums for a band... one I can play live with that is.Corey Y wrote:SLK, I wish there was someone around here with similar drum chops. Then Mental Waste could actually be a real band that plays shows.
Thank you very much!samzadgan wrote:SLK...thats freakin fast drumming man...and tigh too!
I had a Fairfield accountant for a while and that was rad. Kinda dirty and not super over the top compression. The MXR bass compressor seems to be the standard answer though.christianatl wrote:This may be a boring/lame/obvious question, but do any of you bass players use a compressor? Recommendations?

I dont think he post here but check out Cyrus/Bongomania's compressor website:christianatl wrote:This may be a boring/lame/obvious question, but do any of you bass players use a compressor? Recommendations?

Hell yeah the tightness is paramount, as well as intensity. No reason not to hit like you mean it and make shit sound good just because it's a slow tempo. Terrasone drummer is waking up to that and it's making a huge difference.ShaolinLambKiller wrote:Thank you! Hell it's not even at my fastest, it's my average there. Aaaaggghhhh!!! I wish I could make it up to that Oly show. I'd love to see Darren playing with you guys. Not that I've ever seen you guys, but it seems like so much more of a crime to miss it now.AxAxSxS wrote:Speaking of bass. WAY stoked to have had Dazz's first show on bass with flux. Next friday We're with Khemmis in Oly!
Beyond rad to add someone with D's musical sensibility to the mix. Totally an honor. We're going to focus on the set till friday and then hopefully some new writing goes into effect as we hammer out the rest of this album nonsense.
