It needs a bit of work in the preamp before it's up and running perfectly. From what I was told, it basically sat in storage from 1979-2014. So I'm looking forward to poking around inside of yet another Ampeg.

Also, I might be getting another 810 because I have no self control anymore.

Thats SVT looks great Shaun! Congrats

So the speaker problem I thought I had turns out to being an amp problem! I plugged in my marshall and didn't get the crackle or the loud hum...put the matamp in and there came the crackle and hum...then I switched it to full power and it was fine. So i ve now narrowed down the issue the the half power mode of the matamp.

Fuckin sucks!

Cheap/easy solution, play full power/full volume. Your wife and children will just have to understand and adapt or go deaf.
